Artist bio:
Samo Rane is a techno artist, sound engineer, and mastering specialist based in Berlin. Originally from Iran, he came to Germany as a refugee, bringing with him a strong connection to music and a personal history shaped by resistance and change.

His music combines deep rhythms, atmospheric sounds, and emotional intensity. It reflects his journey and speaks to themes like struggle, hope, and transformation.

Samo is the founder of mercyTechno, a platform that supports artists and voices often overlooked in the electronic music scene. The project focuses on topics like human rights, migration, gender equality, and freedom of expression.

He is also a resident DJ at Hypnotical Underground and the Berlin-based event series Art Bei Ton, where he regularly shares his unique sound with the local techno community.

SPCTR is a Cape Town-based artist and co-founder of the Deep Techno record label, Cathartic Resonance. His sound is characterised by a blend of deep, hypnotic and rich textures. SPCTR's performances include notable appearances at Denver techno, Vault, Linked, Hotboxed, and Lotech curates in addition to a residency with the Nocturn series.
