Temptations #017 celebrates those outdoor music events many of us love so much, as they would usually be starting these days. Music just feels different when enjoyed in nature, with warm sunshine or after dusk. 
In this spirit, this month's edition comes with a selection of rather lowkey, minimalistic Deep House that's just right when enjoyed under the open skies.

Temptations #017 (May 2021)

A few weeks ago, I did a livestream at Beatport’s "Link Weekly" show by invitation of the wonderful @rom3-3. Due to some tech issues I had to play with my fallback setup, which resulted in an interesting journey because my track selection got completely spontaneous rather than having pre-planned a direction for the set. June’s edition of my monthly Temptations mix series represents what I actually had in mind for that livestream. The progressive breaks sound or simply breakbeat represents something twisted which I’ve been enthusiastic about since the 90s. I always use some productions of this genre throughout my set, as I found that moment at festivals very special when the sound transitions from breakbeat to 4/4. Recently, I’ve compiled some pure breakbeat mixes, which made some of my listeners asking me to put out more mixes of that style. So, here’s Temptations #018 delivering exactly that, just in time for Summer vibes!

Deeve - Dawn (Original Mix)

This month, my Temptations mix is quite personal. Because it includes an upcoming Breakbeat production of mine: 'Move me' is going to be released as one of three tracks on the 'Twilight' EP on Capital Heaven Records this October! Framewerk's productions have been fantastic and seminal, so I'm super happy to release on their label.
Also, this Breakbeat mix is personal because many of these records have shaped my taste, their drums, basslines and synths have been stuck in my head for many years - the kind of music you keep on humming over and over again. Roughly half of the tracks in this mix were released (way) before 2021, whereas usually I wouldn't play that many older records. 
In fact, some of these records served as reference tracks when producing and mixing 'Move me'. So it's a special moment for me to have my music standing alongside giants of this genre. A tribute to the (Progressive) Breaks genre and its marvelous producers.

Temptations #021 (Sep 2021)

The genre Progressive House as applied often today doesn't have much to do with the mood and vibes this term used to represent back when the genre was emerging and having its primetime. 
I recorded Temptations #022 in spirit of that classic, trippy Progressive House. Setting the mood with the opener 'Sunrise' from my recent EP on Capital Heaven, the set moves into darker areas before brighter and hopeful moods kick in.  Enjoy!

I entered Bedrock Records' remix competition with this interpretation, and while it didn't win, it was at least shortlisted - and therefore kindly cleared by both the label and the original artist to be released on SoundCloud (free download).

Temptations #014 (Feb 2021)

Having grown up in a music oriented culture and family, surrounded by Persian instruments, Pedram found his musical roots in 70's Disco, Jazz, Psychedelia, Progressive and Deep House. As Deeve, he’s into any kind of atmospheric, deep music. His productions, remixes and sets range from Ambient to Downtempo, House, Breaks and groovy shades of Dub Techno. His monthly show ‚Temptations‘ showcases tracks from these various styles, creating journeys to relax, switch off, dance or dream.
