Deeziak - Reaction Mixtape # 3

Johannesburg, South Africa, is a town that is marked heavily by the first gold rush in Africa... More to the point though, it's also the hometown of DEEZIAK (aka Deon Knoesen), who has been making a big bang in the Republic's Drum & Bass community, earning his stars & stripes as a major player in the renaissance of the genre. At the tender young age of 16 he was first introduced to the wicked underground sound of jungle breaks & bassline.

For DEEZIAK, it was a done deal. It was in his blood from this moment on. He soon became one of the night watchmen, a guardian of the underground scene, a protector of the holy breaks and twists of Drum & Bass. As early as 2006, he was stealing lifts across town and running the rooftops to make it to every Drum & Bass party that was within his reach. His power fueled by headz on the dance-floors, growing stronger and stronger from one gig to the next. 

DEEZIAK hammered his way into the 2010 gig lists of the most happening and downright dirty parties, his mixing prowess grasping crowds and shaking them senseless. Sharing stages with some of the greatest International Drum & Bass acts including DJ Fresh (UK), Camo & Krooked (Austria), Sigma (UK), Nymfo (Netherlands), Murdock (Belgium), Counterstrike, Niskerone, SFR and RudeOne.

His devastatingly quick rise to fame in the local scene has also seen him perform on the biggest stages in South Africa including RAMfest, Billabong Pro Music Festival, Splashy Fenn and Newtown Takeover to name but a few.

While in and out the studio working on his forthcoming E.P and remixes for P.H.Fat, Pziezzo Electric, Planet Joy and Callan Maart, DEEZIAK continues to destroy dancefloors with his luscious breakbeats, delightfully delicious basslines and wicked mad rhythms.
