Made from samples provided by Marcus Fischer for Disquiet Junto 0600. This is my first time participating in Disquiet Junto.

I processed the samples in a few different ways. Some I just looped small parts from, tuned, and made them playable. I made a generative patch in Bitwig's note grid for one of them, and recorded a few minutes of it. I ran one sample through the Mutable Instruments Beads. Another one was played with a random LFO controlling the transport of the Bitwig sampler. For percussion I used the PSU_stairs recording processed in different ways; a booming bass drum created by pinging the Joranalogue Filter-8, a snare-like sound created by doubling it with the tree monster effect in Bitwig, and finally, I cut the entire recording to pieces and rearranged it.

Here's another in the series of semi-live recordings with Nat Daniels. Nat took an ancient recording I did back in the 80's and salvaged it, embellished it into something that gave me a really pleasant surprise. The song delivers a simple message about overlooking the most important aspects of our time in this life, often too willing to fall into step with what everyone else seems to be doing. Don't lose sight of the true relationships, the true friends and the simple, real connections. My thanks to Nat for her usual abilities to transform anything into a special experience.
