The news of Prince's passing hit me hard last week, and I haven't had the creative energy to fully record a mix worthy of calling it a Prince Tribute. I mean, how do you pick what songs to play from a man who has about 40 albums, and countless collaborations of written, arranged, and produced songs that span decades? However, a few of the biggest Prince fans I know called me out on it, so I attempted to do just that, and pay homage to this musical genius via a live recording. This is the audio of that recording. Rest In Peace Prince Rogers Nelson. Your influence on music and pop culture will never be forgotten!

Welcome 2 America Tour. The Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, NC on March 24, 2011

Prince and his band performed six nights in North Carolina and South Carolina, starting on March 21 at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia. Additional concerts include the RBC Center in Raleigh on March 23, the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte on March 24, the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro on March 26, and the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville on March 28.
