Wormskull - Nosebleed (Deformer Remix 2012)

Every horror fan knows the legendary director and producer Charles Band. His impressive body of work (since the ’70’s!) has certainly not gone unnoticed by a broad audience. Titles such as  Re-Animtaor and Puppet Master are classics and still have a huge following. His film company Full Moon Features is leading and its fans enjoy rarities such as Killjoy, Evil Bong and Gingerdead Man. Charles Band also takes the lead with recently launched http://fullmoonstreaming.com/ which treats horror-fans to Full Moon films digitally along the lines of Netflix.

In the meantime, Rotterdam based Mike Redman has become a Dutch cult phenomenon: as the director of uncompromising documentaries (Walkmen, Anagram, Sample: not for sale), as special make-up effects artist in the nineties (Who am I, Jezus is a Palestine, The Delivery) as owner of the record label Redrum Recordz, but especially as an artist and initiator of exceptional electronic music under the name Deformer.

Now, Charles Band and Mike Redman have joined forces to realize a music project entitled: Full Moon Deformed. It will be released as an album and will blend the characteristics of Full Moon Features and Deformer into a unique project.

Project background:

Every horror fan knows the legendary director and producer Charles Band. He has sustained an incredible track record as an industry pioneer over the past 30 years. His many horror classics still have a huge international following. Band’s film company 'Full Moon Features' is leading and its fans currently enjoy successful rarities such as Killjoy, Evil Bong and Gingerdead Man. Recently, Band again took a pioneering step into the future with launching http://fullmoonstreaming.com, reaching an entirely new generation of fans. 

Rotterdam based Mike Redman has become a Dutch cult phenomenon: as an award winning director of uncompromising documentaries, as successful special make-up effects artist in the nineties, as owner of the record label Redrum Recordz, but especially as an artist and initiator of exceptional horror influenced electronic music under the name Deformer. With Deformer, Redman has worked with legendary artists, internationally performs, has a large fanbase and has inspired many artists along the way.

Redman, an early Full Moon fan, was granted permission to use the Full Moon Features catalog as a source of inspiration. His original music production and Full Moon audio samples reinforce each other. So take out your - or your parents’- tapedeck (or get one at a flea market), you know that you’ll even meet new people on the spot in real life. Like in 1994 where people actually needed to get out of their homes to get crazy to the tunes that you couldn’t hear anywhere else than in the darkest underground clubs. If you weren’t there you just missed out. You are not missing out now for sure... This tape contains a lot of unreleased tracks alternate versions and remixes. Some might sound as if they are 20 years old, well hey, they are! You’ll catch the vibe and that’s what it’s about. This definitely goes out to all dedicated Junglists out there... Enjoy and... Deformer is back with another horror infused release: 'The Living Dead Deformed'. Deformer is known for putting the shock into electronic music and pushing the horror experience to another level. During their shows cut off limbs and intestines are thrown into the audience while the extreme music turns the crowd into raging freaks. 'The Living Dead Deformed' pays homage to one of the biggest horrorfilm classics of all time: 'Night of the living dead' (1968) and its creators. 

The record was produced before the unfortunate passing of George A. Romero. Out of respect, Deformer chose put out the record as a non-profit, limited edition, numbered by hand, green coloured vinyl release. The amazing cover art is created by legendary visual artist Graham Humphreys (A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Evil Dead, Poltergeist).
