Original made in may 1996 with th good old Protracker on my Amiga 500.
I simply took over the complete song structure and samples from the old mod. The samples are all 8bit and some are only 10khz. I added a few effects to everything and changed the transitions a little to make the whole thing a bit more homogeneous. Most of the work consisted of enhancing the rather poor sounding samples. incidentally, a vocal sample was dropped... it was just too much. the melody part from 1:24 onwards was replaced with another melody (the old one is still playing, barely audible), because i always thought it sounded kind of bad. the sample for this is new and a 16 bit sample from legowelt, which i processed a bit with a bitcrusher to make it fit the sound of the rest. It's still not really great, but at least it's better than before ;-) i took the whooo and yeaahh samples from another old mod of mine... very bad sound quality... but it fits great. i tried to keep the 4 original channels, but that didn't quite work out. now there are 6, mostly to get some notes into the beat, because the original 4 channels were just too full and i would have liked to do that back then if it had been possible. Of course, it's not something that's really heard today... anyway, it was just for the fun of it to see what was still possible with such an old thing after 29 years.
