"The heart of 'Amber' is the evanescence of creativity — the fleeting nature of everything that surrounds us, everything that feels so permanent when we're growing up into adults, but that fades and disappears as we age. The spark and drive of creativity pushes artists to excel and constantly exceed their accomplishments, and with electronic music, this often pushes it into increasingly technical and concept-based areas. The material amber itself is said to clear the mind, to help develop patience and wisdom. My album, 'Amber', has acted much the same for me as a kind of reset with a focus on vibe, musicality, and patience. I mean it to be music for listening that can also work in clubs. I did not want to push or feel compelled into a particular direction, but rather each track to be a true reflection of my current creative state. This simplicity is reflected also in the bare artwork for the vinyl and album — a simple pen drawing burnt onto the cover, the last mark my grandfather committed to paper 1 week before he passed."

Urban Waves present “A Klinkvort Orange” the second single taken out of the upcoming album release by Shatter Hands. The track was made in Oslo with Oddbjørn during dark winter times and is meant as an upbeat escape from snow and cold weather to a warm place where you can let loose and dance. Oddbjørn is a drummer and producer so there is a lot of percussive elements to the track which is also a progression from Shatter Hands older slower works. This single includes a bonus second track! “A Klinkvort Orange” remix by Shield is a highly addictive and contagious instrumental hip hop track that brings back to the roots of the genre. With highly detailed textures the sound brings up a dramatic and epic atmosphere. Almost feels like the soundtrack for a super hero movie. The two tracks sum up nicely the promised vibes to come in the coming album “Alive on Arrival '' by Shatter Hands!

Absolutely menacing acid from Bordeaux’s Djedjotronic in a new two track EP "RANDJO," joined by labelmate Cardopusher and Defekt. Following his haunting “Strapon” EP earlier this year, "RANDJO" proves it wasn’t an isolated excursion into darkness- in fact this could be Djedjo at his darkest. Summer is over, the temperature is dropping, the nights are getting longer, and it might damn well be believable that its all this release’s fault.
Most are unaware that Al Jourgensen of Ministry, in their pre-guitar days, worked in the same studio as many of Chicago’s early house greats- that studio was TRAX- and you can almost imagine them collaborating when listening to Phuture “Acid Tracks” or Rude Boy Farley Keith’s “Give Yourself to Me.” Djedjo x Cardopusher's "RANDJO" comes from this imaginary (or not?) pairing, with a spoken word house-is-a-feeling type sample echoing over some proper EBM analogue muscle and hate. Machine gun reverberated kick drums and crushed swooshes cement the industrial influence, pun intended, resulting in a track sure to top playlists of timeless dark acid. Djedjo X Defekt's "LANCE" continues this house-industrial exploration, but this time with a relentless single note arpeggiator that morphs and twists throughout the track, hypnotizing the dance floor, using it’s redundancy to build tension until it peaks with delirious detuning synths and electro pattern drums. Jorgensen and the Chicago house guys perhaps never did end up working together, but Djedjotronic, Cardopusher, and Defekt did-- with very worthy results.

'Bellyboy' EP is his second release for Ivy Lab's 20/20 LDN label. The title track features 18 year old, London based lyricist Buchannan, mostly known for his previous work with Kai Whiston (Big Dada) as well as his releases on Brainfeeder affiliate PBDY’s TAR in Los Angeles.

I`m putting this demo for free download, because the beat sounds like a mediocre copy of Autechre / Afx, but the idea and the melody is cool and I don`t want to collect dust on my harddrives, like thousands of others.. I made the track almost exclusively with the metronome sound from Ableton. It pisses me off big time, so I thought I need to kink it up. Those who produce music will understand. When I invest more time in the track - it might make it to an actual release, but for now, enjoy the madness :)
