DEF (Rajasthan, INDIA)

Born in The Pink City - Jaipur (India), DEF started clubbing in an early age and got deeply influenced by house music. He started hanging out with the other DJs and organisers and started playing music at an age of 16.
While practicing and playing house music in 2009 for about two years his taste of music got really minimal and he started experimenting with a wide range of sounds.
His idea of expanding the limits of genres and going deeper into music production led him to produce experimental and low BPM deep grooves and gloomy sounds with thumping bass lines and soothing atmospheric sounds. Soon he discovered his own signature style which can be easily recognised when you listen to his tracks.

He started hanging out with the other DJs and organizers and started playing music at an age of 16. While practicing and playing house music in 2009 for about two years his taste of music got really minimal and he started producing Minimal/Techno.

His idea of expanding the limits of genres and going deeper into music production led him to produce experimental and low BPM deep grooves and gloomy sounds with thumping bass lines and soothing atmospheric sounds. Soon he discovered his own signature style which can be easily recognised when you listen to his tracks.

Recently his Debut EP "Whispering Hat" was released by Maksim Dark's new imprint and SHINOCS MUSIC's another part WALLTRAUM and made its way into the BEATPORT TOP 100 Minimal Release at no. 38

The EP was downloaded and supported by some of the biggest names of the industry like Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Paco Osuna, Joseph Capriati, Stacy Pullen, Nick Strauss, Oscar L, John Haden, Breger, Calm Chor, and many more.

Currently DEF is experimenting with his new sounds with the contemporary styles of electronic music which will be released soon by some of the best underground music labels both national and international later this year.

Born in The Pink City - Jaipur (India) and now based in Delhi.

 
The desire to push the boundaries of genres and go deeper into music production drove him to create experimental and low BPM deep grooves and dismal sounds with thundering bass lines and relaxing ambient sounds. Soon, he developed his own trademark style, which is clearly identifiable when listening to his tunes. DEF's most recent EP, "Bella," was published by Pablo Bolivar's highly acclaimed Seven Villas Music (Barcelona) label and debuted at number 25 on the Beatport top 100 Deep House rankings.

Def has been making music for over a decade, from performing at events like Namas'cray in Goa alongside artists like ARTBAT and Black Coffee to hosting Goa's highly popular underground after hours at OHM Anjuna in 2020-21. DEF established his style and taste in 2019 by hosting a residency and music programming at Jaipur's most well-known underground and alternative music club, 'Club Colaba.'
