The Pursuit of Shame

Concept
The Hunger is the moment the Abyss reveals its true face.
After being lured by familiar voices and memories, the protagonist finally sees the entity that has been stalking him since the moment he crossed the threshold.
It is not a creature of flesh or bone, but a vast, ancient intelligence made of shadow, instinct, and need.
It shapes itself from fear.
It learns from longing.
It feeds on broken hearts and the pieces of the self left unguarded.
“The Hunger” is not just something in the Abyss.
It is the Abyss.
The soundscape is suffocating, immense, and relentless — the embodiment of something that has waited ages for a soul to wander too far from the light.
Visual Concept
The cover art depicts a lone figure facing a colossal shadow-beast, its glowing eyes burning like coals through the darkness.
Volumetric blue lighting reveals only hints of its form:
curling tendrils, jagged silhouettes, a shape too large and too wrong to fully comprehend.
The man stands small, illuminated only by the faint glow around him — a spark of resistance against a world designed to consume him.
This is the instant where fear becomes revelation.
Place in the Album Narrative
At this point in THE ABYSS:
The protagonist has seen memories, ghosts, and illusions.
He has survived predators and temptations.
He has followed a voice he hoped was real.
Now he encounters the truth behind it all:
a being that hungers not for flesh, but for identity, longing, and hope.
