This week’s Black Light Disco show that aired on New York’s My House Radio marks the start of something truly special for us. In what we hope will be the first of many, Black Light Disco is proud to present 'Samosa Funk' - a new monthly collaboration with two of the hottest labels on the planet right now – Italian based Samosa Records and Daje Funk Records. Samosa Funk will feature exclusive two-hour sets from label head honchos and super-talented producers and DJs in their own right, Stefano Gamma (aka De Gama) and Les Inferno - all under the Black Light Disco banner.

Samosa Records and Daje Funk are, to put it mildly, a vinyl junkie’s dream. Consistently releasing high-quality grooves (predominantly on wax but also on digital platforms), both labels excel at delivering a distinctive sound drawing from multiple genres ranging from disco, funk, jazz, soul and Afro beats. Co-owners De Gama and Les Inferno demonstrate an almost unparalleled knowledge of these genres in their own productions, always infusing their own unique take to turn undiscovered (or long forgotten) gems into dance floor bombs or dreamy, high soaring journeys into the disco / funk stratosphere. Luminaries such as Al Kent, Hotmood, Lego Edit, Moodena, Sartorial, C. Da Afro, Fingerman, Sleazy McQueen and Massimo Berardi have added to a star-studded roster of producers and artists to embrace the Samosa Records and Daje Funk philosophy.

Pucker up, people - Samosa Funk is back on the Myhouse Radio airwaves with another Les Inferno and DeGama inspired smack to the proverbial kisser! 

In the red corner wearing the red shorts with gold piping we have the insatiable Sensei of Grooves , Les Inferno. Expect some trademark combo punches from Les Inferno which include The Gap Band, Rena Scott, Rick James and Herb Alpert. Hit after hit until your jaw is left swinging. 

In the opposite corner, wearing the blue shorts with the silver trim is DeGama aka The Dark Destroyer. This guy knows how to pack a punch, and with knockout blows from Dirty Elements & Drunk Drivers, Uptown Funk, Musta and Monsieur Van Pratt, you’ll be on the canvas begging for mercy. Or more. Probably more.

Samosa Funk’s monthly residency for Black Light Disco has gone from strength to strength, and the lads always deliver - no problem.

Samosa Funk Vol. 13 feat Les Inferno and DeGama

Samosa Funk is back on the Myhouse Radio menu with another awe-inspiring musical carnival from Les Inferno and DeGama 

First up, we have the boogie maestro himself, Les Inferno opening up the vaults and pulling out classics from the likes of Prince, Crown Heights Affair, Marz and Cameo. It’s another spectacular hour of crate digging and swagger from one of the best in the business. 

Continuing the funk shakedown for the second hour we have DeGama. This is a set which subverts expectations and is something quite different from him. A more eclectic and laid back vibe and featuring tracks that he absolutely loves, it’s a wonderful insight into DeGama’s taste buds. 

The boys have been busy with their regular Monday night gigs at Rome’s Hotel Butterfly on Gladiators Avenue, all we can say is we wish we were there with them. Instead, we’re more than happy to settle for two hours of stunning music played over the airwaves, delivered with that Samosa Funk panache.

Samosa Funk Vol. 14 feat Les Inferno & De Gama

Samosa Funk touched down on the myhouseradio.fm landing pad with a cargo full of funk inspired care packages to lift those Monday blues. 

First up for Volume 15 of Samosa Funk is De Gama. Displaying nerves of steel as he steps up to pick his spot from 12 yards, this is something a little different from the master of Slam-Dunk Funk. Featuring tracks from Luca C & Brigante, Tommy Stewart, Daniele Patucchi, Uptown Funk and RaBo & SnoB - this is De Gama at his best, letting the music flow like plasma through a conduit. 

For the second hour, Les Inferno is laying down the dynamite jams picked directly from his crates (which we believe are located in a secret warehouse somewhere in Rome). A Les Inferno set for Samosa Funk is always an education, and this is no different. Classics from the likes of Roy Ayres, Le Pamplemousse, Eddie Russ, Brass Construction and the late, great Ian Dury are featured in an hour that will melt your conscience into a funk pulp.

Samosa Funk Vol 15 feat De Gama and Les Inferno

It’s Samosa Funk time again with Les Inferno and De Gama making a triumphant return to the airwaves with Volume 16 of their outstanding takeover show, airing exclusively on MyHouseRadio.fm.

Taking the chariot reins first for this month’s instalment is Les Inferno, who charged into the arena armed with an arsenal of assorted disco funk weaponry including bombs from Cerrone, Gwen McCrae, Melba Moore, Coffee, Prince and Mass Production to name but a few. Les Inferno has you in his sights and is charging at you - be warned! 

For the second hour, De Gama was firing up the power converters and particle beams, setting his sights on your frontal funkebellumoid nodes (located next to Shatner’s Bassoon) and settling for nothing less than a full cranial flambooche and sweep of the boogie Hypothalamus. The Samosa Funk rocket skipped across the MyHouseRadio atmosphere, speeding towards the outer limits of our known universe on a mission to find signs of extraterrestrial grooves.

Our monthly guest residency of Samosa Funk muscled its way back onto the  myhousradio.fm airwaves on Monday 8th November 2021 with the incomparable Les Inferno and De Gama taking their positions at BLD Towers to lead you on yet another musical journey of musical discovery. 

First up is Il Professore - the crate digger supreme aka Les Inferno who has selected quite possibly the funkiest batch of tracks ever known to humanity! It is, of course all blended to absolute perfection and with that Les Inferno stamp of quality. You’re in for a treat! 

Taking things up a level for the second hour is De Gama. This set is a journey between the past, present and the future, carrying with it a distinct ‘housey’ vibe which, we have to say, really suits this Italian Maestro!

SAMOSA FUNK was on the billboard at My House Radio last Monday (13th Dec 2021) with yet another super-charged show full to the brim of tasty cuts from the Les Inferno and De Gama inspired Emporium of Sonic Brilliance. 

For Volume 20 of their residency, Les Inferno kicks things off with another delve into the vaults - dusting off gems from the likes of Junktion, The Reflex, Ray Barretto, Eli Escobar and many more.

In lane one, we have Les Inferno taking us on a light recon around the course, starting with one of his own forthcoming tracks ‘Ketama’ (oh you’re so gonna like it!)

Samosa Funk Vol 21 feat Les Inferno & De Gama

Samosa Funk was back on the myhouseradio.fm airwaves with the incomparable Les Inferno and De Gama once again opening up the school doors for another education in music! 

Taking the class for the first period is Professor Les Inferno, who has a genuine smorgasbord of classics from the likes of Joe Thomas, Pattie LaBelle, Miles Davis, Change and Babe Ruth to name but a few. The selection, the execution - all conducted with supreme skill and confidence! It's another masters degree in musicology! 

For the second hour, De Gama raises the temperature with another sizzling set packed to the corners with quality music from Dominic Balchin, Jazzanova, Cafe 432, DirtyTwo, Lup Ino plus many more. De Gama's sets always burst with diversity and this set will absolutely blow your collective socks off!

Samosa Funk Vol 23 feat De Gama & Les Inferno

Samosa Funk time is here again, which means Les Inferno and De Gama arrive is for yet another spectacular tour of the best music mind palaces on the globe! And this one is a special occasion - we’re celebrating 2 years of Samosa Funk’s team up with BLD! 

Kicking things off first is the legend that is Les Inferno, who starts  the anniversary celebrations with an hour of funky selections that will blow your mind. No mortal can match Les Inferno’s crate digging, and this month he’s pulled out gems from Fatback, S.O.S Band, Change, Bobby Thurston and Brass Constriction to name but a few. Pin your ears back and let this flow into your lug holes. 

Next up is De Gama, who has once again put together a set brimming with quality tunes and imaginative world building. Featuring tracks from  Danny Kane, Noil Rago, G Markus and forthcoming Daje Funk bombs from Ezirk, Strange and Gledd, this will get you right in the mood for beers in the spring and summer months ahead. Samosa Funk Vol. 24 feat Les Inferno & De Gama

It’s that time again, folks - the Samosa Funk train steamed into town on the myhouseradio.fm airwaves with a caboose packed full of sonic delights and aural gems; fashioned by Les Inferno and De Gama to blast away those Monday blues and to kick mediocrity right in the clam pouch. 

The doors of BLD Towers have been flung wide open and in just a few hours time, Les Inferno & De Gama will be taking their places in the ‘Technics Collaboration Zone’ (on the 10th floor) to wow you mere mortals with their celestial skills behind the turntables. 

First up we have The Professor himself, Les Inferno who will be pulling out tunes from his infamous crates of destiny and launching lightning bolts into unsuspecting ears. This set is full to the brim of classic tracks from the likes of Chi-Lites, Atlantic Starr, Odyssey, Change Sergio Mendez and Roy Ayres to name drop but a few. All expertly blended and programmed in the way only Les Inferno is capable of. 

For the second hour, De Gama gets the eclectic play mat out and delivers a real ‘tour de force’ of emotional highs, fist bumps and air punching. Make no mistake about it, De Gama has crafted a set that will make your heart soar and your Shatner’s Bassoon rattle. Featuring killer tracks from Earth, Wind & Fire, Lex & Locke, Mr. Thruout, Billy Stewart, Vito Lalinga and Todd Terje plus many more, you miss this one at your peril. Samosa Funk Vol. 25 feat Les Inferno & De Gama

It’s Samosa Funk time again on the Black Light Disco show, powering onto the myhouseradio.fm airwaves like a funk-powered pulsar. BLD Towers flung its doors open and once again welcomed the dynamic duo of Les Inferno and De Gama into its reception halls - ready for another educational spin through their musical tapestries and tastes. 

First out of the blocks is De Gama and boy, is this hour an ear opener. This week, De Gama shows us his skill with the downtempo vibe, delivering set that just begs to be listened to at sunset as you unwind with your favourite tipple in hand. Tracks from Benny Golson, The Gap Band, Herb Alpert, Million Dollar Disco Machine and Siggatunez will no doubt be amongst tomorrow’s ‘ear worms’ from this fabulous set. 

For hour two, Les Inferno treats us to a set recorded live last week at Rome’s Hotel Butterfly. As you can thoroughly expect, the hour is filled with classy selections and an expertly constructed flow right from the get-go. Expect tunes from Musta, LNTG, Pino Daniele, Delfonic & Kapote and Riva Starr to name but a handful of what he has in store.

Samosa Funk Vol. 31 feat Les Inferno & De Gama

The Samosa Funk Show  slides back onto to the Myhouseradio.fm airwaves  with the legendary duo of Les Inferno and De Gama once again tantalising your tympanic membranes. 	
	
Les Inferno kicks off the first hour of the show, building up the tempo from a Jerry Butler slow-jam masterpiece all the way through to a Tavares stormer. All original material used in this set, folks -  with gems from the likes of Cerrone, Chaka Khan and Johnny Taylor also getting in on the act. 	
	
For the second hour, De Gama is definitely at his most eclectic - weaving an intricate web infused with Afro Beats, outrageous funk, deep grooves and disco vibes. De Gama is clearly on a mission here, throwing dance floor grenades from LTJ Edits, Art Of Tones, HP Vince and Ruas to name but a few.

Samosa Funk Vol. 32 with Les Inferno & De Gama

Italian dj and  producer Stefano Gamma goes by many names, and De Gama is one of his most lauded in no small part thanks to the 2010 classic tribal jam 'Afrika' that continues to get heavy rotation to this day.
