It brings us great joy to have Darren and Julie from @sweatdreamsdjs launch our 2021 campaign with our second T-Rex Soundcast installment. The two have been working hard during Victoria’s lockdowns to expand their sound and make you dance in ways you didn’t think you knew before.

The mix recognises these efforts, scratching the surface of what the pair have been exploring lately from afrobeat to Arabic electronica to the deeper, darker forms of disco. It celebrates the underground scene and acknowledges the passion they have for music. 

In the interview Julie shared how mixing had been therapeutic for them during lockdown:

“The whole DJ thing for both of us is about looking after our mental health. The livestreaming was all about our wellbeing. If it made someone happy, or have a little dance or event watching us on the screen do funny things in the stream then that was a good thing.”
