A prayer i wrote for Japan as a way to send my own love and hope for a speedy recovery to our family there and friends, as well as the many who suffered through the Tsunami and still do suffer from the potential threats of radiation.

Reggae comes from Mento, Ska and Rocksteady. When Reggae invented dub and toasting, it gave America the technology and ideas which led to Hip Hop's emceeing (later known as rapping) and scratching. Thus Hip Hop was born. Even Gangsta rap came from Dancehall — both speaking about the violence from their neighborhoods.

Now let's take the thing full circle, and have a modern, fast rapper toasting over a punchy & roots ska instrumental! It'll be anachronic for sure, but might be deeply groovy too… cos' it's all nothing but the good stuff.

This "Champion Sound" tune is a piece of art for sure, but it ain't gonna end in a museum though. Instead, it's gonna bring some heavy duty MADNESS on the dancefloors not afraid to tear the roof off !!

The earlier works of the Hungarian dj/producer duo called Savages y Suefo
came out on UrbanWorld Records. Now, they continue their mission at Agogo
Records with a nice 6 tracker vinyl 12". Side A contains three own tracks with
guest vocalists like Judie Jay and MC Guacho. On the flip side you can find a
self remix and two remixes from Rube and Renegades Of Jazz. The 12" is a
melting pot of swing-hop, electro-swing, downtempo, dub and latin music.

The word "Deja" means something close to creativity and delight. So you could say the mission of Deja-Tunes is to release music with a positive vibe and spirit.

- W H O   R U N S ... ? - 

Head of Deja-Tunes Aaron Bingle works in the music business since 1997 and brought in his knowledge to found a record label that is reflecting his experience regarding the heart and soul of music. Bingle started his music-career as a musician and producer signed to a major label. He performed many live gigs and tournees and built up a studio unit that was well known for the collection of vintage instruments - mentioned in the Rolling Stone magazine. While working out his skills as a producer he founded Deja-Tunes in 2000 as the roof production company for his work and releases. In the following years Bingle released on more than 30 labels such as Sony, BMG, Universal and Ministry of Sound. Worldwide releases and cooperations with many artists and his experience in the music business built the fundament to take the step from a music-management to a label-structure.
