It is about finding out someone you once cared for is predatory or abusive, whether that be past friends, artists you look up to, family members, whatever resonates with the listener. The feeling of betrayal, disgust, and guilt. A feeling that sadly, a lot of us have faced. 1/5 women have experienced sexual assault. Every woman I have ever met has been sexually harassed, assaulted, or physically/emotionally abused. It’s so disgusting that so many people get free passes because they are well liked in a community, or they are famous, “attractive”, white & rich, they play in a band, or whatever stupid reason. It is especially disgusting when people choose to stay friends with known abusers. The people that you surround yourself with are a reflection of YOU. Please stay safe out there, friends ❤️ Look out for one another.
