Halloween, an uncanny 13 years ago ~ New mixes are on the way, but in the meantime here's a fun oddity recently unearthed from a hard drive.
It was recorded 2009 in a bar called »Gulasch« that I liked a lot when I had just moved to Berlin. A dirty little beer-spilling, bolognese mouth-greasing, vodka-breathing universe.
Wanted to reach 666 minutes but got too wasted in the end with my buddy Simon Wald-Lasowski… It's got everything: Lots of hits, swish Traktor FX, hellishly tipsy mixing and shitty mp3s ~ Hope you enjoy x 👻🫠

Very pleased to announce that after some very long delays the long-awaited double album of new music by Secret Circuit is finally landing next month.

The album is comprised of 21 tracks of new material, 82 minutes of music, all gleaned and distilled down from around 60 demos recorded between 2020 and 2022. 

Some of these demos were sent under the name E Ruscha V, others as Only Thingz, but Invisible Inc wanted to capture a sound of Ruscha's that was outside of these in some way: a sound somewhere between the cosmic, otherworldy music of Secret Circuit and the warmer, earthier music of E Ruscha V and the ambient side of Only Thingz, yet which tried to capture both the more emotive AND more experimental side of this prolific and extremely talented producer. A paradox perhaps but it seems we've managed it. Very rarely do we hear modular synths doing something so human sounding... and when juxtaposed alongside slide guitars, live bass and vocodered vocals, we have something very special indeed. Needless to say, it seemed 100% appropriate to release this music under the Secret Circuit name.

A highpoint for the label in 2023, no doubt.

The album comes housed in a full colour reverse board sleeve featuring original artwork by Eddie Ruscha and comes with a colour double-sided insert with liner notes (written in reverse so you'll need a mirror to read them, of course) and more of Eddie's drawing.

Vinyl costs are extremely high at the moment, due to materials going up in price, but we will try and have this special package retailing for as low as possible to make this affordable for as many as possible...namely just £24 (you'll see single disc LPs selling for this price these days).

Dancing For Mental Health (still not a charity party) turns 4 and we have a very special guest in Andi Hanley. In a previous life he was a resident at Body & Soul in New York, alongside Danny Krivit, Francois K and Joe Claussell, but his musical orientation has changed and he now plays very different music from back in those days, regularly guesting at Cocktail d'Amore. He has been playing spectacular New Wave and Industrial sets recently and it will be a great fit for the intimate dance floor of Sameheads. This is gonna be a bit special, so don't miss it.

As always, we'll bring an E&S mixer to the party to make the most of Sameheads' brand new sound system.

We've made high-precision calculations and found out that most of the our guest mixes were recorded by collectors from London and Stockholm. So we decided to continue this glorious tradition and invited a person with an incredibly developed musical erudition to participate in our show - Mr. Filip Esaiasson (the man behind "hand picked selection" labels - Fri Form & Dubbla Budskap). So laid back, press play, open a Google Street View and take the 61-minute soothing journey around Tyresta National Park, for example.

De Kat Memwa is a mix series which aims to cherish talented artists from all over the world who are seeking to promote non-obvious music through thoughtful storytelling! 

De Kat Memwa is curated by Prince of Gosplan (Kirill O.) who is also performing as a DJ under the eponymous name.

De Kat Memwa is a resident of Malmö-based @retreatradio with (non-)ambient show 'Deep Relief' and collaborative experimental dance music show 'Ordealia' w/ @jonteprippz 

In the beginning, in addition, to the mix series De Kat Memwa was extended as DJ's trio with the participation of @andrew-lipa & @andreykalder. All the founding members are disseminated between Sweden, Germany and the USA which makes a collective performance impossible. However, altogether we are involved in the curation and production of 'Deep Relief' show!
