To celebrate the first extended play on De la... je l'espère, Partial Pressure EP by Seta Loto, the Italian minimal bass gem, takes listeners through soundscapes where unseen forces shape and bend the space around them. Inspired by the concept of partial pressures —forces coexisting in harmony—  
the EP blends minimal drum and bass, left-field bass, and experimental textures, drifting between the scientific and the surreal. Across 4 original tracks and 2 remixes, the music explores how distinct components unite to form a greater whole.

Bait is honoured to present Nantes-based DJ and producer Soa420’s debut EP, ‘No Nerve’. Soa uses doom-ambiances and chopped up vocal samples in an overall halftime spirit to entrance the listener into her unique trap, bass and dub-infused landscapes. Parts Project’s remix is undeniably one for the club: a pounding banger of an interpretation of ‘No Nerve’. Ophélie brings her experimental broken and textured take to ‘There’s Fire Inside You’, while Einerlei’s version breathes trance and dubby hypnosis.

OW9 GUI & Adhi - Katha Manjari

On their inaugural EP for Omen Wapta, GUI and Adhi take on a monastic task. Over the course of five accelerating tracks, they pull ritual practices out of the communal environment and into a solitary headspace.

‘Katha Manjari’ embodies a voyage that connects the mere twenty centimeter diameter of the human head and its contents to metaphysical realms of extradimensional proportions. Throughout the EP’s runtime, you’re met with various non-ordinary modes of reality and lucidity. From the dreamstate of ‘Turiya’ all the way through to the heavy flow of subconsciousness that is ‘Deras’.

These cathartic states of mind contain nods to many different traditions, for you to unpack. Heritage percussive instruments are met with resituated samples, decontextualized field recordings and the sonic properties of different fundamental states of matter–solid, liquid, gas, plasma. Drip sounds become rhythm, sonic smoke particles become resonant ambience, electrically charged glitches become the energy transistor of a track.

The project’s rhythms and timbres hint at ancient group ceremonies, with canonized chants sweeping around the sonic spectrum and different drum sequences syncopating, drifting apart and realigning. The overwhelming feeling that lingers, however, is that this experience is one powered by your own cognition, whether that’s horizontally on your couch or bathed in fog on a dance floor with fellow dwellers. ‘Katha Manjari’ is your guide for pure reality testing. For constructing a bridge through the mist between group ritual and solitary meditation.
