Electronica Master Class Pt 11

Exactly one year after his 2020 release entitled Dunklewissenschaft, DVS NME returns with a collection of new tracks that were produced between late 2020 and early 2021. This 25-track album is another obvious thematic tribute, only this time he chose to pay homage to the writing of the socialist revolutionary Karl Marx. Every song title is a nod to the German philosopher's economic and political theory. Even the album cover borrows directly from Marx, re-adapting the original cover of the 1848 pamphlet entitled 'The Communist Manifesto'.

This album, as with the last, relies heavily on the sounds of classic Electro machines like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, SH-2, System 100, Juno 60, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, as well as some contemporary additions to his studio like Hydrasynth, System 8, Novation Peak, Minilogue, SE-02, and Microkorg.

DVS NME is the man behind the weekly radio show/daily blog called 'Dark Science Electro' and has been a dedicated contributor for the Electro community for the last 11 years. He shares his love of Electro music by posting Electro-affiliated news, art, mixes, albums, memes, concerts, tracks, gear, and more. This album is available for $15 USD.

Breaking Waves 8-19-21

La vuelta a Radio Relativa. WE FOREIT are back, after the summer break, bleary eyed and bushy tailed with a bag full of new records and a belly full of dreams.

This was recorded just before we headed to play at the Hypnotica Colectiva XVI Anniversary in Valencia, so we decided to start things out this month with some of HC’s finest and a cracking track by Colombia’s Filmmaker. 

A Spanish influence runs through our selections with month with Corp, Dip Shim, Mynationshit and Sed Blava as well as labels like Masa Series and Noise to Meet You; we’ve even managed some Spanish italo care of Tolerance.

Chris digs deep into the crates, resurfacing with electrofunk from Newcleus and wave floorfiller Night Moves. The machines are also centre stage with Roger Van Lunteren hitting some heavy numbers on Something Happening, Somewhere and 030303. Techno gems come care of Luke Slater and PA Presents on U-Trax with some soothing electronics, drawing Summer to a close, by, Konduka and Finnnish masters Pan Sonic.

Plastician and Spanish production starlet Juche link up for a unique and fun take on Juche's previously released "eNight" track. Repackaging the release is a new version from Plastician, which strips back much of the original's Trance roots to give it a more subtle and UK approach. He reached out to Juche after hearing the original on shuffle whilst driving, and constantly humming a 2 step drum beat in his head - a few months down the line and here we are listening to his UK Garage inspired version of a Trance track. Unlike anything we've released before, we're excited to see how this one translates!

I am breathing electronic music since late 70s and that's over 45 years now. From Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre, Mike Oldfield, Depeche Mode, Erasure, Yazoo, Alphaville, Men without Hats, Nitzer Ebb, Die Krupps, Front 242, Anne Clark, Camouflage, Gary Numan, OMD, Apopytygma Berzerk and even the Commodore 64 demo & break dance scene to more contemporary Electronic music artists, I witnessed the evolution of Electronic music, which basically means I am an old fart and consider myself an authority in this music genre 😵 Currently I listen DnB almost exclusively. But I do not like to restrict myself at all, enjoying flavors like Electronica, Trance, Psytrance, Tech House, Dubstep, Deep House, Future Pop, Trap, Techno, UK Bass and of course EBM/Industrial as well.

What you will find in my likes and playlists is the top of the crop in Electronic Music, I will  absolutely not list any bullshit. A track I have not listed might be just that: Bullshit, just mediocre or an artistic gem which I haven't discovered yet.

Minimal instrumental synthpop from Copenhagen, Denmark. Synthetic, melodic music made on analogue and digital hardware.  Delayscape also plays in industrial/synth band Heinz Beauvaix.
