DEL CORAZON is a brand-new collaboration, dreamt into existence through the joint forces of indigenous singer songwriter Cempoalli (sem-po-AH-lee) and Australian-turned-global songstress, Saritah. Two voices, two guitars, two hearts, one shared vision of spiritual purpose.

Drawing on a combined love of reggae, rocksteady, soul, hip-hop and straight-up good music, Del Corazon sing in both English and Mexican (Spanish/Native), bringing an authentic and inspiring sound that is at once reassuringly familiar and yet strikingly original. Radiant harmonies, acoustic guitars, deep bass and fresh beats.

The songs of Del Corazon traverse the duality of human existence, bringing songs of love and liberation, songs of beauty and of pain. Reflections and celebrations of the journey, and lessons learned along the way. Lyrics that remind the people of what they already know in their hearts. Simple songs for these challenging times.

Having walked very different paths to get to where they stand today, Cempoalli and Saritah meet at the place where music brings people together to uplift, inspire and heal.

As a young man, Cempoalli wandered complex worlds of graffiti, gangs, violence and grief on the streets of Los Angeles.  After these stark realities took the life of his brother, it was the power of music that saved his own. Strongly involved with grassroots movements from an early age, he has since taken the music far and wide throughout “Turtle Island”, performing at urban and reservation community events since 2000.

Saritah, born in Seoul, South Korea, had lived in 3 continents by the time she was 6 months old.  She was then raised in the most isolated city in the world - Perth, Australia - and has since travelled far and wide, bringing the music and the message to stages at many of the planet’s favourite festivals.

Del Corazon bring evolutionary music of the global community. Music beyond borders, boxes and boundaries. Real music. From the Heart.
