Following up the launch of RAM Records new RAMlife compilation series last year (which saw Loadstar offer up a platter of essential tracks), head honcho Andy C has tapped the man of the moment, Audio, for the second edition. 

Ordering an all-out assault on our eardrums, Audio collects 27 tracks from the likes of Optiv & BTK, DC Breaks, Ulterior Motive, Noisia, Bad Company, June Miller, Mejus and more, binding them together with the vicious RAM attitude that has helped the label dominate drum & bass. The Yellowheads are back, once again taking control of the situation and dropping another hot number on their home turf. Dema kicks things off with his own interpretation, letting the focus shift to the commanding bassline, while keeping the musical elements of the original intact. The original mix is up next, advancing in style with mighty low frequencies and cavernous effects, while streamlined synths go hand-in-hand with the subliminal rhythm section. Tomy Declerque finishes up with his own rendition, going for a more looped-out approach, combining classic chord action with spacey electronics and trippy edits.

The depth of the forest was unknown to those who lived at its verge. Shadows cast from the dense canopy seemed to reach out towards those who passed close by, wisps of darkness unfurling and twisting around the limbs of the youngest that dared to play at its sinister edge. The oldest stories of its roots passed across the creaking voices of the town pensioners hunched in the safety of others, discretely whispered and shot through with fearful looks. The allure of that dense and ancient place stretched back eternal, and bitter consequence waited for those who breached its dark heart.  The crew ignored the nonsense of such crones, pulling the carts of equipment under the cover of dusk until the sounds of the town were but a memory. The speaker stacks were raised against the night, strings of lights hung between the trees and purity of disturbed bass rolled against the surrounding trunks as they disentangled themselves from the mundane fiber of the lives they left behind. Twisting against one another as they let flood serotonin delight, they ignited an orgy of sonic symbiosis as the rave found its wings and took flight. The spores drifted imperceptibly into the clearing from the darkness around, lodging without discomfort in the eyes, ears and noses of the gathered young. And then the screaming started, the undulating mass of the gathering turned inward… devouring itself as limbs were separated from bodies, necks ripped as skin tore loose and the blood flowed freely over the gnashing faces of those left alive at the KILL PARTY…

From the old-school drenched piano and ultrafunk of the title track, to the playful sinister intent of PRIMITIVE INSTINCT, the filthy sub explorations of PROBLEM and the predatory sensibilities of IKRA – the 4 tracks within display the dynamic and exploratory character of the production outfit. This is Russian neurofunk at its finest, delivered on the platform that’s tailored exactly to the premiere kinetic nature of its content.

Ghost Syndicate is proud to present a brand new entry in our Artist Sample Pack series, this time delivered to you by no other than @namiongaku - drum & bass guru based in St. Petersburg, Russia. 

Nami Ongaku, as his full alias goes, hails from the Far Eastern corner of Russia, where in the city of Vladivostok he absorbed his first Drum’n’Bass vibes as a kid, along with the fresh humid air from the sea - the two elements he went on to combine in his production, multiplying them by his propensity to think into the nature of things and the ability to see details hidden away from the naked eye.

All those combined, multiplied by the inspiration and support from his fellow producers, resulted in his own unique style characterised by raw clockwork funk with mutated Techstep-driven basses, and diverse and vivid atmospheres on top. 

Drawing inspiration from various genres of music and not being afraid to experiment, Nami is still faithful to his formula - making every element of the groove work well on its own, and intricately combining all elements together, coming up with complex and enticing sonic tapestries. That’s exactly the reason why he’s been part of Ghost Syndicate the whole time, bringing his meticulous vision to the table, and delivering some of the most sophisticated D’n’B grooves out there. 

In his first ever Artist Pack, prepare to meet everything Nami’s been renowned for and get a feel of his workshop, with his signature focused beats, alien funk basses, varying from fat live-sounding two-step grooves to handcrafted Neojungle breakbeats, to mutated newschool steppers.

MTNM 008 continues the story from the previous release; the story of the "Incident 2315/2" as the Hadden-YES military sector examines the cocoon retrieved from the hangar on earth. One of the soldiers had a mysterious conversation with the entity. Upon dissection through several EMP-safe hangars, they come across a discovery that forces them to evacuate the area carrying the bizarre find.
