DELFINA OLIVER, Jazz vocalist from Buenos Aires, Argentina. 

Delfina is one of the most renown singers in the busy and creative jazz scene in Buenos Aires, Argentina, acknowledged by local critics for the quality of her voice and for imprinting a contemporary jazz sound to classic and modern standards.

She released her second cd “CAMINO” in September 2010, produced independently and edited under her new record label “Delphin Records”, obtaining excellent reviews in the media and being distinguished as “Best Jazz Album” and “Best Jazz Singer” of the year (2010) in La Nación, the most prestigious newspaper in her country.

Delfina has won a place of her own in the local jazz scene of Buenos Aires earning the respect and appreciation of the audience, the musical community and critics. She was invited to integrate the Jury of Honor of the “Clarín Espectáculo” Awards in 2007 and forms part of until today and in 2010 was invited to join the Jury of the “Premios Gardel a la Música” - the two most important awards of the music industry in Argentina - for the "Jazz" category, distinctions awarded annually to the most prominent artists of the genre at a national level. In May 2011 she was distinguished by the Ministry of Culture of Buenos Aires City “for her creative and valuable trajectory” giving her a diploma at a ceremony in the Teatro San Martin, the landmark theatre of contemporary arts in Argentina.

She is currently singing in Buenos Aires after returning from singing at the New York Bar in Tokyo, Japan, from April 23rd till July 17th.
