Absolutely insane, top shelf Boogie cover version here. Star Creature's Tim Zawada taps Brian Ellis for another supreme collaboration giving us an incredible rendition of an all-time spaced-out Chicago post-disco grail. Ellis recreates the original with extreme accuracy in both the gear used and the feeling. It's almost confusing because Brian Ellis also appears credited on the original pressings label? Did dude travel back and forth in time to make both versions? This is cosmically-reclined smooth-stank boogie at it's a finest. Another absolute blast off on the always consistent Tugboat Editions imprint. NASA Certifiable.

Quiet Fire is a one-year Bandcamp and Soundcloud only release project - one track on the last Friday of every month (or there abouts) from June 2025 till May 2026.
It's a space for low-stakes experimentation and consistent creative flow, a testing ground for new ideas - and old ones: deep cuts from the vaults, sketches that never saw the light of day until now. Rooted in soul and groove, Quiet Fire is about reconnecting with the joy of making music - no pressure, just expression.

Delfonic from Berlin, a busy guy that will hit you with his experienced, flawless flow and the skills of a Hip Hop veteran but an open-minded music taste including soulful grooves from new jazz vibes, underground Disco, American House, Breaks and Afro Grooves.

With a history in digging and an unquestionable love for music, Markus Lindner, a.k.a. Delfonic, is one of the most versatile and informed DJ as they come.

He used to be the key character concerning music knowledge in Berlin. After a long decade at  OYE records store he left the business to become a 100% touring DJ and also to do a series of Dance Jazz Edits (Illegal Jazz) which create a massive buzz in the new house and funky dance world (support from Gilles Peterson, Honey Djoon and many others)

Delfonic applies his broad knowledge of music styles to almost any setting, and is renowned for blending multiple genres, eras and disciplines throughout his sets. An open-minded talent, with an uncompromising approach to DJing, he employs a style schooled from an upbringing in hip-hop. Delfonic is the model DJ - he’ll warm the crowd up, get them dancing and then provide the scope and context that will keep the heads on board.
