Taking over the peak time slot at our Beate Uwe debut, Berlin veteran @delfonic delivered a masterclass in selection. Opening with soul classics like The Pointer Sisters' "Happiness" and Masters At Work's edit of Taana Gardner's "When You Touch Me", his set seamlessly blended jazz house, soul, and disco into something truly special.

I played a warm up set for Sonar Kollektiv Event at the Club1111 in west Berlin, Friday, March 7th.
around 2 hours of slow soulful tunes to uptempo deephouse and disco cuts. due to the passing of king of Soul-Jazz Roy Ayers I start the set with one of his most famous tracks and the set end with a nice cover version of his most famous track.

He used to be the key character concerning music knowledge in Berlin. After a long decade at  OYE records store he left the business to become a 100% touring DJ and also to do a series of Dance Jazz Edits (Illegal Jazz) which create a massive buzz in the new house and funky dance world (support from Gilles Peterson, Honey Djoon and many others)

Delfonic applies his broad knowledge of music styles to almost any setting, and is renowned for blending multiple genres, eras and disciplines throughout his sets.
