Parisian producer Berzingue is on his way to becoming a key producer in the burgeoning French electronic music scene. After the release of his first EP Quitter Paname on Pont Neuf Records in 2022, it was only a matter of time before he made a welcome return to the label. Thirteen months later, the Frenchman comes full circle with the release of his second solo EP Architectures on March 3rd.

Here is the "Time / Masks" EP, a laid-back two-track house music EP that came together during late-night studio sessions. It has a chill, groovy atmosphere, carrying the listeners into its sound. Crafted with hardware synthesizers, samplers, and effects, the EP emanates a lo-fi, raw, and authentic feeling.

"Time" features a Rhodes loop and dreamy synth melodies. As the loop unfolds, additional elements join the mix: the bass plays with the drums, while a hypnotic 303 bass line counterpoints the synths. The result? It is a deep, lo-fi, and groovy track with an authentic feeling.

"Masks" uses the same instruments but moves to a more energetic vibe. At its core is the sound of the Rhodes, in a loop that builds the song's foundation. An OB-6 accompanies the loop with its lush tones, weaving effortlessly between the beats, while vocals and piano deliver the classic '90s house vibe. Also, a slightly tamed but gritty, pressing 303 line does its part in celebrating the vibe. 

Both tracks showcase a meticulous blend of hardware sounds. Courtesy of a Jomox 888 (a modern homage to the classic Roland 808 drum machine), drums are processed through outboard effect processors. The bass from a Moog Minitaur provides that classic round and full sound, while synth sounds come from a Nord Lead 2X and the OB-6. Fairfield Circuitry and Eventide effect pedals add the finishing touches, enriching the sonic palette. Finally, Elysia 500 modules take centre stage on the mix and master bus, glueing the elements together.

@FaltyDL kicks off ‘Panorama Bar 07 | Part I’ with the appropriately titled “Paradox Garage Part 1 (With Your Love)”, blending US garage, breakbeats and chopped vocals. The alternative rhythms continue with @Jinje-music (of Vessels fame) slowly building machine-funk anthem “Big Skies”, while the B-side is reserved for @General-Ludd’s dreamy, shutter-opener “Bloods Avalanche”.

Get Physical’s international roster now turns to Brazil for a new single from key Latin American players Leo Janeiro and Hauy, while Japan’s Hiroshi Watanabe steps up with an excellent remix. 

Leo Janeiro is considered one of the most important names in the Brazilian electronic scene, as well as dj’ing and producing he is a respected curator and A&R. Earlier in the year, Leo mixed Get Physical Presents: Cocada, a brand-new compilation put together in cooperation with the Brazil Music Conference. Toronto-based artist Hauy, who also played a fantastic set at Burning Man 2017, was one of the many producers who appeared on the compilation. Both artists are playing a vital role in evolving the Brazilian scene and helping to bring it to the world’s attention. Now they link once more to show why the likes of Joris Voorn and Lee Burridge have signed or supported their music before now. 

Stylish opener ‘Pure Bliss’ is the sort of elegant melodic techno the label is known for. Broad pads stretch off to the horizon as keys bring cosmic vibes to the expansive drums. It’s an astral, spacious track to really zone out to. 

The equally spine-tingling ‘Enigma’ is another voyage through the galaxies. The supple, subtle drums are perfectly stripped back and allow the gorgeous synths to dance about like the aura borealis in the absorbing atmosphere above. It’s dreamy techno that really carries emotional impact. 

Tokyo-based Hiroshi Watanabe has been one of Japan's leading electronic dance music artists over the last 20 years. He’s released on great labels like Transmat and brings that serene techno sound to this remix. It is nine minutes of dancing drums and hits, soaring synth pads and futuristic soul that leaves you in awe of the beauty of it. 

This is a terrific package of high class and elegant techno.

Born July 20, 1967 in Chicago, Boo Williams has been a part of the city's house music entourage since 1981, he is truly considered as one of the Chicago House music legends.

Later on in the 1990's, Boo began production and then later remixing in '93. He started out parting on the city's south side soon introduced to Glenn Underground who got him started in music production.

It's not summer yet but the sun is gonna shine eternally with such beautiful melodies !
