For those paying attention to what's going down on Aterral, the name Retromigration should ring a couple of cowbells. He's already had his share in the very first release on the label, collaborating with Carlo on the opener of that very EP. Now it's his turn to single-handedly inspirit a whole EP-length - and what an uplifting and invigorating spirit that is! The Amsterdam based producer lays down three cuts of deep, jazzy, soulful, just heavily vibing House splendour, so effortlessly intuitive, so musically refined, so instantly buzzing with verve and energy, they will be turning heads and moving feet all on their own.

Music from Jinns and Tonic [Ep.3: Tennis Club Jazz]

There is quite an organic history to the Jinns and Tonic video series; heavily inspired by Katarakt’s Stoner House mixes and motivated by the termination of EELF’s first channel short of 200,000 subscribers. The first episode served as a call-to-action for rebuilding the temple that introduced multiple generations of listeners to the delicate pleasures of LoFi House. The culture pulled through and introduced new music from Quasar, DJ Ædidias, Nørus and several other young producers; setting a new precedent for premiering Various Artists compilations through YouTube/SoundCloud and giving exclusive content to the gate-keepers that deserve recognition for their curatorial duties. Consequently, Critique is scaling the influence of its artists and itself by facilitating these opportunities for all heavy-hitters, up-and-comers and superior-selectors to participate in something special, rooted in love for audiovisual ecstasy.

The third episode features the Critique wrecking crew DJibouti, DJacuzzi and GL4M alongside Rob Soul artist Dan Corco, Georgia State University student David Bulay, Francophone extraordinaire DJ Psychiatre and LoFi House's newest wizard TOMATOSLICE. While keeping to the series’ roots, “Tennis Club Jazz” departs from creating another hazy, expansive atmosphere and enters the Spring Equinox’s dance floor via red carpet, catwalk strut. Here we go again with another outstanding premiere bound to knock your « sox » off (oh stahp it, you like the lame puns). The Glasgow/Inverness based 2SOX records is treating us with some dancefloor thumpers. Under their label, Debukas and his brother Aldo, the two masterminds behind 2SOX records, have been signing and producing some absolute fire for the past year. Their latest release is no exception. Prior to starting the label with his brother, Debukas released titles under other well established labels, such as CHURCH and 20:20 Vision. 2SOX is now releasing its third instalment, Oddsox Vol. 1, showcasing tracks from Debukas, Tom Churchill, TELESKOP and a remix from Sparky.
