The origins of BudaStyles was formulated during Budamunk and Joe Styles early years as The Keentokers Crew. The chemistry between the two was instantly recognized. Budamunk had big respect for the way Joe Styles came up with different songs, ideas, concepts,and how he is versatile when approaching tracks. Same time Joe Styles gained a deep admiration for the way Budamunk created beats, developing a signature swing with his drums, to the warm groovey bass-lines, and melodic sounds, they both began recording a slew of tracks that came out as projects such as, "BudaStyles Classics"(2009), "Keentokers The Fresh Speech"(2011), "Blunted Monkey Fist 2"(2013),"From LA To Tokyo"(2013).They both share a strong love for 90s R&B and Hiphop Golden Era, as well as Jazz, 70s Soul, and Neo Soul.

“Bubbles (So High)” is the very latest single from Cazal Organism to drop on Delicious Vinyl (October 14). Featuring vocals from singer Dezi Paige and rapper K-Natural, the song talks to listeners of allowing everyday LA life to wash over you and enjoying the high that it brings. The production boasts Cazal’s signature touch as soaring foamy synths are grounded by whirring, hip-hop accented beats.  

The accompanying music video is a fittingly dream-like visualization of the song’s sudsy sentiment and celestial groove. Directed by Dina Juntila, the video sees Paige and K-Natural drive around Los Angeles in a kaleidoscopic homage to California’s trippy side. 

“Bubbles (So High)” is the first single from Cazal Organism’s forthcoming, yet-to-be-titled, EP. With the direction of Michael Ross, aka Mike Floss, the EP will see the jazzier edge of Cazal’s production style complimented by collaborations with an array of local talent including the likes of Casey Veggies, Dezi Paige, Joe Styles and K-Natural. --  Alice Price-Styles

Legendary Detroit emcee T3 is releasing his long-awaited album, Mr. Fantastic -- produced entirely by Teeko and Ruckazoid, on January 23rd 2020, via Delicious Vinyl. 

The Slum Village frontman, known as the gel of the group, and celebrated for his witty flow and cadence, as well as his "stutter step" hooks, is now ready to drop his solo project. Even though fellow founding members J Dilla and Baatin passed in 2006 and 2009, they heavily influenced him to make his own path. "I had a premonition Baatin and J Dilla were speaking to me, outside of the conversations we had, before they both passed," explains T3. "In a nutshell they were like, 'Keep going.'" 

Baatin is featured on the title cut, which is among T3's favorite tracks on the album. "The song that means the most to me would probably be the first single, which is 'Mr. Fantastic'," reveals T3. "Baatin's vocals on this joint are bone-chilling. It was like he was in the studio with me." 

And naturally there was no shortage of confidence in him from Dilla. Nearly 20 years ago, he knew T3 was up to the task. A line from an important talk they had resonates with him to this day. "Flashing back to the conversation I had with Dilla the day he left the group," he mentions, "Simply put, he said, 'You got it 3.'“ 

Now he's showing and proving, with his first LP through Delicious Vinyl, a label Dilla produced numerous hits for in the late 1990s. He believes the partnership has a glove-like fit. "I feel like Delicious Vinyl is a classic label," says T3. They put out joints that stand the test of time, and aligning myself with them is a great way to reintroduce myself." 

Sonically "Mr Fantastic" has a very connected and continuous vibe and that's by design. 
"I come from that era where songs flowed, from one to the next," he says. "You could just press play on an album and let it rock. I wanted to give my project that feel." 

T3 met producers Teeko and Ruckazoid digitally and learned later on that they shared a connection. "At the time I decided to do solo work I was just searching on the net, mainly Instagram, for new producers and I came across Teeko on a DJ Jazzy Jeff playlist," says T3. 

"I reached out to him via direct message, and he sent a batch of beats he and Ruckazoid produced. Then we started to build a friendship. The dope thing I didn’t know was that Ruck had previously worked on material with Baatin years ago. Somehow I spotted the vibe and it just clicked." 

The result is a traditional Hip Hop album with a modern sound that is easy to enjoy. With features from rappers Frank Nitt and Illa J, Mr. Fantastic has a cohesiveness that shines through from start to finish. "Creatively on this album I was trying to bring back the 'fun' in music," T3 says. "That's what keeps it exciting for me to do. I hope listeners sit back and enjoy the ride. There's more to come."

In the summer of 1987, two Los Angeles DJs — Matt Dike and Michael Ross — converted a tiny L.A. apartment into a recording studio and started a record label called Delicious Vinyl. Championing artists from the streets and delivering music to dance floors and living rooms worldwide, the upstart label quickly made hip hop history.

Tone-Loc's "Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold Medina" were the first of three multi-platinum singles produced by Dike & Ross. Dike & Ross then launched Young MC to instant acclaim with indelible hits "Bust A Move" & "Principal's Office" from 1989's Stone Cold Rhymin' LP. Meanwhile Tone Loc's Loc'ed After Dark crashed in at #1 on the Billboard album chart.

After Matt Dike's departure in 1992, Delicious Vinyl became the sole mission for co-founder Michael Ross. Following the beats down the road less traveled, his astute signings of The Brand New Heavies, The Pharcyde, Born Jamericans, Masta Ace, and The Whoridas kept DV ruling the funhouse through the '90s.

In 2005, ten years after the release of the Pharcyde's groundbreaking Labcabincalifornia, Fatlip's solo album The Loneliest Punk sprouted the hit single "What's Up Fatlip" with its clowntastic Spike Jonze-directed video. Going from hip hop highs to soul surprises, Ross soon reunited The Brand New Heavies with original lead singer N'Dea Davenport for the 2006 album Get Used To It, its smash Stevie Wonder cover "I Don't Know Why (I Love You)" sporting a special remix by disco pioneer Tom Moulton. Delicious Vinyl also issued some of the era's best dancehall reggae, including the sizzling hit albums Pull Up (2004) and Hot It Up (2007)by Mr. Vegas.

Delicious Vinyl celebrated it 20th Anniversary in 2008. The RMXXOLOGY project starred the likes of Peaches, Aaron LaCrate & Debonair Samir, Diplo, Hot Chip, and Bobby Evans, all re-imagining the Delicious catalog for a new millennium dancefloor. The arrival of Yancey Boys, the debut album by Illa J (with beats by his brother, the late great Jay Dee aka J Dilla), kept brows razed until Illa J's Detroit homey Frank Nitt hit L.A. and dropped the love bumpin' 2009 summer single "L-O-V-E".

From its expressionistic funky music to its classic wash'n'wear logo t-shirt, Delicious Vinyl stands out for its streetwise savvy, staunch independence, and for shaping the soulsonic sound-scape of today. Ya heard!!!
