Next up in our Record Club guest mix series is Project Gemini, aka Paul Osborne. Earlier this month we released his debut album 'The Children Of Scorpio'. The response to that release has been fantastic! Highly recommended for fans of European library music, acid folk, psych-funk, vintage soundtracks and the contemporary breaks scene. Paul has put together an enthralling mix that includes exclusive edits and reworks...

“I wanted to put together a mix that was focused on sounds, the things I hear on records that I aspire to when I’m working on my own recordings. Whether it be a raw nasty guitar, a heavy drum break, a beautiful melody or some kind of backwards tape wizardry, I like getting lost in the layers of a record and revelling in the emotional connection I get from the production and sonics of something. It’s not meant to be some super cool list of obscurities, rather just tracks (and artists) I love that I can get lost in and that make me want to plug in and play. As a thanks to everyone for their support for The Children Of Scorpio album I also thought it would be fun to throw in a couple of exclusive edits/reworkings of tracks from the album that I hope you’ll dig. Four years after their first 45, Group Modular returns to Delights with a new synth-heavy double-sider.

Just like the last year's single "The Tunnel", the new release is following the path taken on the duo's highly-acclaimed second full-length, "Time Masters" - with both sides based on more material from the album's initial drum sessions. However, don't call them 'outtakes' or 'leftovers', as these are brand new tracks that see Markey Funk and Mule Driver exploring and expanding their sonic palette even further.

The new 7'' also concludes 10 years of the band's drum-centric sci-fi sound: the bass-heavy and spiky "Per Aspera" ("Through Hardships") features Elia Yakin on the kit, while spacy and dramatic "Ad Astra" ("To the Stars") welcomes the duo's long-time collaborator - Sagi Sachs.
