The latest record from Delinquent Delivery sees label-head Stephen Mahoney round up five of Dublin’s most prolific producers. Stuey Lyons, Jon Hussey, Jack Jennings, Stephen Mahoney & Rustal have contributed to Stretching Ohms, the fifth release on Delinquent Delivery. Dancefloor directed techno at its finest.
Stuey Lyøns & Jon Hussey have teamed up for A1, a straight-shooting dancefloor oriented techno work. With over forty years of experience between them,Lyøns & Hussey’s expertise is put to work on A1. Dark, pensive and groove-oriented, A1 never deviates too far from its source, making it a useful techno tool for any DJ’s arsenal.
Jack Jennings contribution on A2 is another dancefloor directed number, featuring a dissonant lead married with a swinging percussive section which creates an infectious groove. Jennings’ production style would be synonymous with dark, late night sets, such as those by Marcel Dettmann or Chris Liebling.
Mahoney’s input to Stretching Ohms is B1, a commanding techno banger. Mahoney’s production style is similar to his DJ sets, delicately blending subtle elements throughout B1 while never losing focus of the main driving components. B1’s direct approach makes it perfect for late night sets.
Rustal rounds the record off with B2, a groovy roller which echoes Detroit through and through. Chiming in as the fastest track on the record, Rustal effortlessly balances a funky bassline with a compelling lead, reminiscent of the Belleville Three’s earlier work. B2 marks the end of Stretching Ohms, continuing on the energetic path set out before.
Stretching Ohms delivers high-octane dancefloor driven bangers of the highest quality. Each track differs in style, but combined they all have similar DNA - they’re all made in Dublin. This release highlights the talent that Ireland has to offer to techno globally.

Delinquent Delivery returns with the Saol Fórsa Ep, 2022’s first edition with a four track Various Artist Ep with tracks from Stuey Lyons & Jon Hussey, James Cherry, Stephen Mahoney and Snakbite_616. Precise, engaging rhythms and melancholic tones can be heard throughout the release as each track offers the dancefloor a fresh take on modern Techno.
A1 Jon Hussey & Stuey Lyons Saol Fórsa. Irish for ‘Life Force’, a title Jon Hussey has given the posthumous work that he completed after the untimely passing of our dear friend Stuey Lyons, label collaborator and DJ. Saol Fórsa sets the tone straight away, with whirling synths and syncopated rhythms that fly and soar throughout. The Hi Hats get the party started as it thunders along through filters while added FM synths penetrate. It is a party starter that is both a true and encompassing tribute to our friend and producer Stuey Lyons who will remain in our memory forever. We would like to thank also one of Stueys many music friends Tadeo for providing his analogue track summing which adds much warmth and fullness to the track.
A2 James Cherry - Double Down. Fans of Oscar Mulero will enjoy, new kind on the block, James Cherry. Fresh out of his studies in Sound Training Center in Dublin, James’ music is enigmatic, fresh and mature beyond his years. Double down gets off to a quick start with a groove that draws you in with synths and rhythms that grow and develop over the track, by the time you get to the break, carnage ensues, we need to say no more.
B1 Stephen Mahoney - The Hammer. The Hammer moves in the same vein as the A side of Saol Fórsa but is completely different in style. Prime-time dance-floor material, this track drives forward with ferocity and grace, hammering through with poignant congos and sub effects as it growls through with slight modulation. It slams.
B2 Snakebite_616. A firm favourite of many lineups in our fair city of Dublin, Snakebite_616 aka Nathan Jones, returns to Delinquent Delivery with a fever pitch production that will send any dancefloor into the galaxy! It is a smooth, fresh, fun, funky and slamming track, the perfect combo for any party starter.

Stephen Mahoney​ returns to his label ​Delinquent Delivery​ for his second solo release of the year, ​S​. Mahoney continues on his journey to boost the status of Dublin, Ireland’s techno scene following the success of last year’s previous release, ​U​. S is a continuation of a two-part release project, and sonically follows the path set out by ​U​. Mahoney’s direction as a producer can be heard throughout his work on Delinquent Delivery, with an intricate understanding of balancing bass-driven techno with precise percussion and somber tones.
A1 s​ ets the tempo of S, with a bouncing kick playing over a captivating bassline. Shrill melodic tones hang overhead, with swells drawing from ambient techno carefully drawn in and out of focus to move the track forward. This is a moody dance-floor mover.
A2​ continues down the dance-floor direction, with a full-on four to the floor kick driving the track. Percussive elements take the forefront on A2, with icy soundscapes being added in to round the piece off. Synonymous with the cold atmospheric numbers heard on Semantica or Delsin, but with a larger focus on the dancefloor.
As ​S​ is one half of a two part project, it follows the same roadmap as ​U​ did, and A3 rounds off the A-side with an ambient jaunt. Contemplative and encapsulating, ​A3 ​sonically draws inspiration from ambient masters such as Brian Eno, while still maintaining Mahoney’s sonic identity as a techno producer.
B1 m​ oves back S back to the dance-floor. Rhythmically driven, B1 shows Mahoney’s ability to configure gut-wrenching techno that is as complete structurally as it is melodically. Relentless, unforgivingandcomplete,​B1​alonemakesS​ ​amust-haveforanyDJwhogravitatestowards the darker side of techno.
B2 ends the EP on a high, with a groovy bassline grabbing the listener from the get-go. Ravey stabs are balanced well with the bassline which continues on the path that ​S​ set out on.
S sees Mahoney continue on the formula that worked so well for U, and although the blueprints are the same, they are two quite different records. Two halves which form a whole, Mahoney has carved out his own sound, which draws inspiration from so many sources and yet sounds all his own. Delinquent Delivery has proven itself to be a label to watch among the Irish scene in the past, but now is moving towards the global one.

Aubrey Downtown 66, a masterful cut that displays sonic genius on Aubrey's part, it's a breakbeat affair that delivers in finest purity. Cow bells amass in mega sonic scapes that is a sure fire hit. 


Volster Cyclic is a smooth groover, it builds in a subtle way pertaining to hypnotic elements that display a soundscape of acidic lines that hover and stab in a dark and mysterious way.


Volster  Breakthrough is a four to the floor mover. It moves in hypnotic modulation, a signature from Volster that is sure to move a dancefloor. It groove is infectious and reaches a high point through his groove and synth work, a must in any record bag.

Lars Huismann Artefact, a smooth groover that has all the markings of a great producer. It's a smooth groove machine, percussive and acidic in equal measure.

Lars Huismann Drag You Inside A Hole, is percussive again, with his hall mark signature groove, it’s infectious as it is long, a great booming techno number.

Lars Huismann No Merci , a peak time affair, booming and dark, think Aliens, it’s the title for a reason, it stomps and delivers.

Lars Huismann Shelter, a breaks outing, subtle and melodic. A perfect finishing or opening track to a set, and one of our favourites on this release. It's as magic as it is prophetic, simplistic beauty at it’s best.

Ben Gibson & Mary Velo step up with two tracks each that are sure to find it into many record bags.
On the A side Ben Gibson steps up with Now Here. Massive strings and hats with a solid groove that is sure to inspire dj sets and have guaranteed crowd reaction, it’s a stomper. Ben Gibson follows on with Trsuru River, modulated synths whirl, it has an infectious groove. A sure fire record for the bag.
On The B side, Mary Velo steps up with Code Of behaviour, a deep cut that grooves and has infectious synths, one for the early hours or beginning of the night. Following on Rack steps up, its a big room stomper. Massive kick and big hats whirl and enhance its’ presence. A peak time affair that is sure to find its’ way into many a record bag.

Flexure is a collaboration between Jamie Behan & Stephen Mahoney. Both have been DJing since the mid-'90s, but  Flexure  is a relatively new hardware-based project that sounds like a mashup of techno, acid, electro and Chicago house. In Orbit is  Flexure 's second EP, a collection of unhinged machine bangers.
Orbit is the A side, a smash of a stomper, massive claps and a wild hook with vocals swirling claiming Orbit as a peak time destroyer.
B side contains Computers, a floor filler with a massive acid hook, total dancefloor killer. Next is Opioid a deep growler mof a track that is sure to find its’ way into a multitude of sets.

For Delinquent Delivery’s second release, Nathan Jones and Label boss Stephen Mahoney step up for a split Ep entitled Pulsate.
A side see’s Nathan deliver two cuts, the first being Pulsate the title track. It’s haunting as it is stomping and infectious in it’s groove, something for most record bags. B2 Nathan delivers a forward marching monster that’s sure to wreck any club it meets, Red Shift is the name and it is in fifth gear all the way.

B side see’s Stephen Mahoney take the reigns, Faculty X delivers in it’s simplistic groove that winds and twists keeping you glued to the floor. B2 Intropception is Detroit influenced with a synth hook that grabs you, strings hover through as the groove is relentless.
