As joyful as one can be, whether behind the decks or immersed in his production tools, this young artist from Grenoble—where he took his first step—has been captivating audiences with one wicked DJ set after another, alongside a steady stream of original track releases.
Fluidly moving between genres as disco, UK, afrobeat, latin, techno, house.. his gigs and
productions are a true reflection of his eclecticism and his boundless joy in sharing and creating
music. His style is largely influenced by icons like Hunee's distinctive aura, the divine selectors
like Antal, and the overall vibe of Dekmantel.
These days, he’s channeling his creativity into multiple projects, from his infamous Love Edit
series to his new live band Why Why Why, founded with Housecall. His productions, whether solo or collaborative, often feature musicians and span a variety of musical universes.

Lex (Athens), born Alex Andrikopoulos, has been a key figure in Greece’s underground electronic music scene for more than two decades. A DJ, producer, former label manager and event organizer, who's helped shaping Athens’ club culture with his deep musical knowledge and passion for dance music.

At 25, he founded Radical Soundz record store, a hub for underground house, techno, electro, and trance, which he managed for nine years. His love for vinyl and rare cuts influenced his DJ sets, making him a favorite in the local scene. 

His productions fuse deep house, nu-disco, and organic rhythms, as heard in his debut album Waving (2022) and collaborations with Locke. Notable releases include Players Paradise (2021) and 7 Day Path (2022). In 2024, he teamed up with Dennis Liber, and Guto Fernandez for the Without You EP on Delusions of Grandeur.

Lex Athens remains a respected force in electronic music, blending classic underground vibes with contemporary sounds while continuing to push creative boundaries.

Shades Of Sound Radio - May 2025

What up Idle Cellars fam? We’re back with another stellar new mix for your spring-into-summer fun, so pop a tasty bottle and get horizontal! Once again we’re proud to give you a mix from some of the world’s best selectors and this month showcases another favorite - it’s Brooklyn’s JKriv! We met Jason while he was holding down basslines for incredible acoustic House band Tortured Soul, which he followed swiftly by a stint in NYC disco-obsessed group Escort (amazing!), then linking up with Aaron Dae to create the influential Razor-N-Tape label empire! Since then the man has been living the disco dream, traveling the world playing tunes, making some fantastic music (check out his groovy and soothing Within EP) and opening the RNT record shop in addition to being a wonderful human being. 

He’s hooked us up with a poolside killer that has us dreaming of hot, hazy afternoons treading water, mornings when there’s nothing to do but soak in some rays, & nights of wine & torchlit patios. We hope you enjoy as much as we do!

Se vi siete mai chiesti cosa significhi avere una drum machine o un campionatore al posto di un pacemaker, potete sempre domandare a Valerio Del Prete aka Delphi, che da oltre un decennio mette i dancefloor a ferro e fuoco. 


Sin dagli esordi per Pigna su altezze acid house (The River/ Suzuka, 2009), il DJ e producer capitolino si è imposto per classe, gusto e tecnica, muovendosi con leggerezza nelle zone d’ombra tra house, techno, disco, boogie e italo. 


Proprio quella prima release getta il seme per il fortunato sodalizio con Marco Passarani, con cui dà vita, nell’ombra e nell’anonimato totale, al mitico progetto Tiger & Woods, spaccando in due il circuito dance con una serie di folgoranti EP e ibride performance tra live e dj set con un tasso di groove pericolosamente sopra la media. Ma questa è un’altra storia.


Di proprietà del duo è l’etichetta T&W, che ospita nel 2016 un’altra traccia solista di Delphi, Blue Tuesday: un dancefloor killer tra house, ebm e italo, un gioiello che avrebbe fatto sicuramente fortuna nei leggendari passaggi di Hot Mix 5. 


Più recenti, tra EP e singoli, le escursioni su Orchid (The Loft), Skylax (Clutch Play), Running Back (7_11 House) ancora T&W (Unleashed Tapes Vol. 3), Neturalizer (Don’t Assume) e Raibano Records (Take Me): sempre e comunque brillante e prezioso materiale dalle bassline devastanti.


Per non farsi mancare nulla, Valerio coltiva più o meno da sempre anche una certa passione per beat e campionatori (e la Roma, quasi dimenticavamo), collaborando prima con il sito di podcast sportivi Fenomeno – per cui ha curato le sigle e la serie di show dedicati a calcio e musica chiamata Trequartista – poi uscendo con due dischi (Through The Window, Face the Music) registrati in casa in tempo di lockdown: brevissime schegge di boom bap scartavetrate nei loop e nella ruggine, agili quadretti hip hop pennellati su circuiteria e personale collezione vinilica, malinconiche soundtrack per osservare il mondo, per l’appunto, attraverso il vetro della finestra. 


Un curriculum che, in effetti, non ha bisogno di tanti giri di parole. Tra club e festival, Delphi il mondo se lo è praticamente girato tutto: Panorama bar, Coachella, Fabric, Printworks, Robert Johnson, Rex, Warehouse Project, Nitsa, Razzmatazz, Lux, Goodroom, Smart Bar, Video Club, Womb, Shelter, Sónar, Primavera Sound, , FYF Fest, SMS Festival, Garden Festival, Defected Croatia Lost Village, CRSSD…

Così, giusto per dirne un paio.
