n a nostalgic nod to the golden era of club music, the collaborative effort between Satin Jackets and Usually Quiet has emerged as a testament to the enduring charm of deep house. The magic unfolded at Riverside Studios in Berlin, the creative haven where Usually Quiet, also known as RobRox, holds court as a music producer and mixing engineer. The studio's magnetic atmosphere seems to have seeped into every beat of the singles, infusing them with an authenticity that is palpable. 

Satin Jackets, no stranger to the realms of deep house and club music, has seamlessly traced back his roots to deliver a sound that is both timeless and contemporary. His musical evolution mirrors the trajectory of the genre itself, and in this collaboration, he finds a kindred spirit in Usually Quiet. The result is a harmonious blend of classic beats and modern sensibilities, a testament to the enduring allure of deep house.

RobRox, having grown up amidst Munich's vibrant club scene in the 90s, brings a wealth of experience and a keen understanding of the genre's evolution. His work and experience at Riverside Studios adds an extra layer of depth to the singles, creating an immersive experience for the listener. The tracks serve as a bridge between the past and the present, a musical journey that transcends time and space.

In the collaborative synergy between Satin Jackets and Usually Quiet, two shimmering instrumental deep house tracks were born. Crafted at Riverside Studios in Berlin, these compositions blend house roots with precise production finesse.

TOY TONICS continues with re-releasing the best tracks of GOMMA RECORDS. The German label that between 2001 and 2015 was one of the key imprints of the then so hyped indie dance, new wave funk and proto disco sound (along with James Murphy’s DFA, Trevor Jackson’s Output records and later Ed Banger records). The Y2K sound...that now starts to become in demand again.

Now here comes a 3nd compilation part with music by Dimitri from Paris, who also did several EPs on Gomma in the 2000s.
Also, legendary Belgian disco DJs The Glimmers are featured (they had one album on Gomma in 2008) and UK legend Justin Robertson aka The Deadstock 33’s and one of the first ever releases by Daniel Avery (also on Gomma back then). You find remixes by Nicky Siano (Studio 54 DJs legend) and Horse Meat Disco, who back then just started their party series and already were connected to Gomma records. There is an amazing Flamenco Disco track by Spanish producers Hugo Capablanca and T. Keeler that has been hammered by everybody from Optimo to Ivan Smagghe back then, and Italian music diggers The Barking Dogs together with now fashion designer Marcelo Burlon are featured with an amazingly catchy electro Pop track. Of course also Munk who was the founder of Gomma records is on the compilation.

Gomma not only was a record label, but was also a home for cutting edge design, wild T-shirt styles, underground exhibitions with new artists from the Berlin scene and crazy poster and fanzine design. Before the label was closed in 2015, the Gomma visuals world has been exposed in exhibitions around the world, one of them at Museum Haus der Kunst Munich.
