The 3 Daft Monkeys are Richie, Lucas, Athenie and Tim...(daft indeed!) and on the 26th of November last year they performed 3 songs live for the BBC Radio 2 Folk Show from their 2013 album 'Of Stones and Bones' and the album that preceded it 'The Antiquated and the Arcane'. There are rumours of a new album due out later this year but in the meantime this live session is available to stream and download worldwide from the 9th of March.

The Porthgwarra Cove is a reference to a beach near to their current Cornwall base - though they do not all hail from there originally. Tim comes from Bradford and met Athenie in a squat in Holland. Together they busked around Europe before moving to Cornwall - joining forces with Richie and, most recently, Lucas.

The Mark Radcliffe Folk Sessions: Kate Rusby is available to stream and download worldwide on 16.03.15.

Kate dropped by the BBC's Salford studios back in November last year to play three songs from her latest album 'Ghost'. She was joined by husband Damien O'Kane and Steven Iverson on guitars, Duncan Lyle on double bass, and Nick Cooke on accordion. 

The Outlandish Knight, performed live here, opens the Barnsley singer's 11th solo album. No stranger to accolades and acclaim (having been nominated for the Mercury Prize back in 1999 and having picked up several BBC Folk Awards since) her latest album has predictably achieved widespread critical praise.

The EP also features The Night Visit - a song Kate learnt from her Mother - along with the album's title track, which apparently pertains to a paranormal presence she discovered in her music room.

The Ballads of Child Migration is an album of brand new songs from Boo Hewerdine, Jez Lowe, John McCusker, O'Hooley & Tidow, Chris While & Julie Matthews, Coope Boyes & Simpson and John Doyle all inspired by the heart-breaking true stories of Britain's child migrants who were sent to Canada, Australia and Africa between 1869 and 1970. An estimated 100,000 British children were sent overseas by migration schemes, which were run by a partnership of charities, religious organisations and governments. The scheme claimed to offer boys and girls the opportunity of a better life in Britain's Empire. Many migrants never saw their homes or their families again.
