So recently I've been playing a lot of shmup games by Toaplan thanks to Bitwave Games publishing them on steam! I think most folks would know Toaplan for making Zero Wing, the funni ALL YOUR BASE game..but they've got a whole lot of pretty cool stuff, and THIS game definitely stood out! It's got the same kinda rules as Gradius, with the power bar and the mini ships following you, but everything feels wayy more intense from the start, and this song, the boss theme, is definitely my favorite part. Might be because Toaplan games don't usually give very much fanfare to their bosses, a shame cuz boss fights are often the thing I look forward to the most in games! I haven't gotten far into the game yet myself, but with a soundtrack like this I'm DEFINITELY going to keep on playing it!

• Batman on NES
• @yuzo_koshiro's soundtrack for the 8-bit version of Sonic 1

So I heard the boss battle music from Baby Felix Halloween (an obscure Game Boy Color game that nobody cares about), and I was immediately reminded of a certain song from a certain other Game Boy game... So what do I do? Combine the two songs, of course!

The Tetris theme is actually a remix of a Russian folk song called "Korobeiniki". The remix was done by @hip_tanaka .
