Metrik’s highly anticipated second album ‘LIFE/THRILLS’ released on Hospital Records is an exhilarating and flawlessly executed evolution of his signature sound. ‘Electric Echo’, a collaboration with Fightstar’s Dan Haigh and Alex Westaway’s synthwave side project Gunship, encapsulates the ethos of the album merging the unfamiliar with D&B sensibilities to create a fresh and exciting new sound. We also welcome the return of Elisabeth Troy in 'Chasing Sunrise' and Reija Lee in 'Cadence' making for two powerful vocal highlights on the record. For those of a purist nature, fear not; Metrik’s sophomore album is one hundred percent drum & bass and he hasn’t forgotten about the dancefloor. Bangers like 'Western Jam', 'Fatso' and 'Destination Earth' make up a serious proportion of the album’s generous fifteen tracks and reinforce his status as one of the heaviest producers on the block.

Over the past year Metrik has travelled the world representing drum & bass at major festivals of all denominations; from Glastonbury and Global Gathering to Outlook and EDC Las Vegas. Three drum & bass powerhouses collide as Camo & Krooked & Mefjus team up on their latest glitched out anthem ‘No Tomorrow’ featuring the sultry vocals of Sophie Lindinger - an unmatchable four-way showcase of some of Austria’s finest musical talent. With the three titan’s last collaboration ‘Kallisto’ on Hospital Records taking the electronic music scene by storm last summer with impeccable sound design and mind-warping basslines, Camo & Krooked & Mefjus have outdone themselves once more as ‘No Tomorrow’ plunges deep into the depths of twisted drum & bass sonics.

Spooky knocks and the intoxicating voice of Sophie Lindinger, the lead singer of acclaimed Austrian electro-pop band Leyya, gravitate the track straight into action, paving the way for orchestral atmospherics and enrapturing strings. Minimal drums, crafted with meticulous precision, lay the groundwork for an out-of-this-world synth which propels the listener into futuristic realms. It’s safe to say that Camo & Krooked & Mefjus’ continue in their fields as leading musicians and sound designers, whilst Sophie Lindinger demonstrates her unique ability to inject raw emotion into her music through solemn yet graceful lyrics and phrases.

Things don’t get much bigger than the joining forces of Camo & Krooked with Mefjus, with the behemoth trio unleashing drum & bass crunchers such as ‘Sidewinder’ on Noisia’s Vision Recordings and ‘Kallisto’ on Hospital Records which has racked up well over 2 million streams. Notwithstanding their killer separate back catalogues home to classics such as Camo & Krooked’s ‘Set It Off (feat. Jeru The Damaja)’, ‘All Night’ and ‘Loa’, and Mefjus’ ‘Suicide Bassline’, ‘Foundations’ and ‘The Sirens’, this is yet another certified smasher for Camo & Krooked and Mefjus to add to their books.
