“The Sultans Oud” was born from a desire to merge two worlds that rarely meet: the high-energy pulse of drum & bass and the ancient, storytelling soul of Middle Eastern music. I wanted to capture the feeling of wandering through an old marketplace at night lanterns glowing, spices in the air, musicians playing hypnotic melodies and then suddenly being pulled forward into a futuristic soundscape.
