Microhm presents "Entrelazada," a five-track EP that delves deep into contemporary sound design. In this project, the Mexican artist deconstructs and rebuilds rhythms of the Latin diaspora, pushing genres like dembow, reggaeton, dancehall, and cumbia into uncharted territories. With a minimalist and futuristic approach, each track immerses the listener in meticulously synthesized soundscapes, where electronic textures and latent pulses blend to create an auditory experience that challenges club conventions, straddling the line between the classic and the avant-garde.

This EP also features 6 stunning remixes by Zutzut, Imaabs, Lyo XS, Ruiseñor, Entrañas, and Benfika + Pegaso. Every track has been carefully mastered by Imaabs, with cover art by Sofia Papadopoulos.

DJ JUANNY (@dj_juanny) is a San Francisco-based artist with Honduran-Salvadoran roots whose passion for music developed when he encountered the endeavors of top Bay Area DJs who would show up at the esteemed streetwear shop where he used to work - a journey that has taken him all the way to producing a string of successful releases (including a very well-received EP via influential Mexican label NAAFI and a vinyl 7'' on NO BIAS), founding a netlabel/party series AMOR DIGITAL or becoming a close collaborator of La Favi.

This upward trajectory continues with a brand new EP on Basy Tropikalne which might as well see DJ JUANNY at his most diverse yet. The release ranges from the spatial dancehall ('Windrush') to sped-up reggaeton ('Rubí') via bass-y dembow of 'Yojoa' and hints of guaracha in 'Agony + Ecstacy', all that filled with references to movies, telenovelas and anime, whereas the title track brings an experimental ambience reminiscent of Lechuga Zafiro from his early Salviatek days (just listen to those frog croaks!).
