Thirty years deep in the Drum & Bass scene, DJ Andy is a name that came out of Brazil alongside DJ Marky and Patife back when V Recordings was first established. At the start of 2022 we saw DJ Andy present 'The Brazilian Takeover', a twenty track compilation that acted as a platform for Brazilian Drum & Bass artists to follow in his footsteps, two months later we're welcoming him back for a solo release; 'The Movement' EP.

This solo project allows DJ Andy to hone in on his heavier side, with all four of the tracks built for one purpose and one purpose only - the dancefloor. These tracks are sure to be in rotation all year round, fail-safe treats for every DJs USB.

Introducing their first release on Dispatch, we welcome the trio Kolectiv, Dexta & Mauoq to our Dispatch LTD imprint for “The Roots EP”; presenting a selection of no-nonsense, sub-pulsated tracks in a deftly constructed package.

Comprised of four dark & brooding escapades into the abyss, built largely upon a stripped-back framework, superior levels of space allow for imagination to wonder in the lower frequencies. With each track confidently shying away from the common ‘rules’ of arrangement, we’re constantly kept guessing with each passing corner and without prompts, whether it’s a shuffle into half-time tempo at interludes, or stomping and lashing back in suddenly from an often sparse or cinematic breakdowns.

A finely tuned EP from a group of promising producers, expect to hear more from these guys on Dispatch again soon. This release is also lovingly dedicated by the crew and ourselves at the label to Emre Serter, father of one of Kolectiv’s members that sadly passed away recently. Emre, this one’s for you.

Following on from their first single ‘In My Veins’, A-Audio link up with Syren Rivers once again for their new track entitled ‘Touch The Sky’.

London born vocalist Syren Rivers has an impressive CV, his early RnB & Soul roots saw him opening for the likes of Busta Rhymes, Jodeci and Redman, as well as performing at The Apollo in Harlem, Glastonbury & Womad festivals, The Barbican, Blue Note Tokyo, La Coachella, Jazz Cafe, Ronnie Scott’s and beyond.

A-Audio have continued to level up their production with every release and this one’s certainly no exception. Syren delivers some laid back bars and a soulful chorus which acts as the perfect fit.

Demand Records unleash their 22nd release, the Frame Scope EP from Jaydrop. Spreading his sound over four killer tracks, Jaydrop continues his journey which began with Tempa's Dubstep AllstarsVol 10, to which he contributed the track Blind Run back in early 2013. Since hooking up with Plastician and featuring on Rinse FM, Jaydrop has impressed one and all, and now is setting free his first d&b release with Demand. Get ready for Frame Scope. 

Return is up next, with booming bass in the foreground, and an interesting set of effects surrounding it. The producer utilises some skittering beats to complete the picture, with the result being one hell of a future minimal anthem. Imagine Loxy, Ink and crew, but 50 years from now. Serious business.

I was sent a few EP's from Terra Null Recordings over the past six months, and the label manager expressed his interest in the sounds that Mauoq and I had been producing. Not too much later and he asked us if we'd like to remix one of the tracks from the Eppileptech EP, which, we both agreed, sat down and created our take on the track. In my opinion, it captures the vibes we'd been working with over 2013, and also has introduced some new styles and techniques that we'd both been using this year. Hope you enjoy!
