Arcane Grail - Псы Бога (Dogs of God)

Kim Bendix Petersen aka KING DIAMOND is one of my most beloved vocalists in the world and in the history of music, if not my favorite, and, of course, to make a cover on his song was my old dream. His unusual make-up, unique voice, conceptual stories, a magical incomparable aura and music, of course, greatly influenced me and my work, and once I had to pay him respect as, in some way, to my musical "father".
For the cover, I chose a very rare old track "Dressed in White" from King's debut album "Fatal Portrait" of 1986. Few people know this song, and it has not been performed live for many years, but, to me, this song concentrated almost the quintessence of the atmosphere of King’s art and its vocal-musical manner. So, having gathered together with Arsafes, we replayed this song, of course, making it much more brutal and faster than the original and even tried to transform it a little bit into modern sympho death/black metal. Our beautiful Alexandra Sidorova helped me in the chorus with back vocals, and it seems to me that everything went very gloomy and cool!
So, at the end of my very rich creative year, I want to give all of you this wonderful song and gorgeous art with me in the image of King by hands of Aina Blackthorn and Helga White.

DEMETHER GRAIL - Dressed in White (King Diamond cover)

It seems I was not at all going to translate the original KING DIAMOND text into Russian and, generally, to re-sing the song "Dressed in White" in Russian, but then the Official Russian Tribute to King wrote to me with a huge request to do this, because they really liked my extreme processing of the heritage of the Terrible. I was amused by this idea, and without thinking twice, I took up an equirythmic almost 90% literal translation, and then sang in the studio what I called the result - "В Саване Белом/In White Shroud". With the female backing vocals our beautiful Sasha helped me again and... In my opinion, it turned out very worthy and somewhere even more interesting than the English version. I hope you will like it!
