“Unwise Remix Series” has the involvement of artists which represent Synthek & Audiolouis main points of reference and inspiration, artists who acknowledged the potential of Unwise and accepted to get involved in a great re-edition of the principal cuts of the album. Tadeo inaugurates this first installment with an outstanding reinterpretation of “Thread Between Us”. Keeps the aggressive mood of the original, raising the impetus with slender hi-hats, haunting chords and devilish synthlines, all elements that clearly manifest the powerful imprint of the spanish producer. Aubrey concludes the first side with a sophisticated rework of “Broken Pad”: an unpredictable groove made of fluctuating bleeps and drums, embraced by spacey soundscapes strewn with sonic drills and fragments. Delivering the final blow on the flipside, Polar Inertia’s work can be seen more like a long journey, than an actual remix of Unwise, main track which gives the name to the album. The final 8-minutes-cut brings an extreme dose of deepness to the release, pervading it of a surreal atmosphere crossed by violent droning flashes, while from a dusty, heavily texturized basslines rises a thin but empowering beat, that finally embrace the distinctive (and desynchronized) riff from the original. A superlative gathering of styles and influences that leads Synthek & Audiolouis sound to a completely new level, giving the chance to re-study the Unwise album from different, refined perspectives.

Stroboscopic Artefacts is releasing its latest addition to the forward leaning edge of electronic music with the Totem series. Unfurling as a chain of transparent 10” vinyls, each of the Totem releases will have a subtly divergent take on the aesthetic space defined by techno and club culture. Totem continues investigations previously established by Stroboscopic Artefacts, namely the relation between sound and material object, spatiotemporality and the architecture of music. The series aims to collapse the artist, their intention and resonance with the public into one object, an artifact of beauty and functionality, the emblemized transparent 10-inch. In choosing a less common format for the Totem series, Stroboscopic Artefacts aims to reinforce the cognition that each of these pressings is a unique object, carrying a message that will develop as the record’s existence moves through space and time.

The productions of label-head, Lucy, aka Luca Mortellaro, will be the first pressed into the icy vinyl of the Totem series. The three-track EP, titled “Tarkomania”, is a circular meditation on specific musical and philosophic themes, and a warm invitation into Lucy’s famously nuanced sound processes. The A-side title track stakes out the sonic territory which the next two tracks will work within: an angular dance floor interlude, “Tarkomania”, builds dark hued mood and texture over one of the spilling monologues of Russian cult classic film director Tarkovsky’s in “Stalker”. The monolog is a probing search for meaning and inspiration within the creative process, a theme that Mortellaro was quick to establish at the beginning of the discourse that will accompany the duration of Totem. “Tarkomania Dub” on B1 takes the listener one circle deeper into the groove filled anxiety set forth in A1, flickering between a set of industrial sounds windows, anchored by the guttural voice of Takovsky’s writer and snippets of the warm and moody synth that accompany the listener throughout the EP. “Tarkomania Acapella” on B2 is a summation of these elements with an emphasis on the “Stalker” monolog. Greater than the sum of its parts, Lucy’s contribution to the Totem series is a succinct, if veiled and mysterious, investigation into the eternal questions that define the artistic process.

Demia E.Clash was born 1987 in Bosnia & Herzegovina. His first serious approach to music production began in 2007 using software like Reason and Fruity Loops which he still uses today. In 2008 his tracks have been played on UrbanBeaTZ radio show, the following year he released his first track for CVM Records ran by Tex-Rec. His tracks also appeared on Made in BiH compilation (AVBA) connecting all of Bosnia’s finest electronic artists. In 2011 he made more tracks, some of which were supported by Laurent Garnier, they were also remixed by Tresor resident Dj Krenzlin. In the same year he signed his tracks to the Gynoid label. In 2012 he appeared on Dave Clarke’s White Noise Radio Show, and also appeared on his first 12 inch vinyl, remixing Kemmi Kamachi Maligant’s track. In 2013 he joined forces with Spain’s female dj and producer Judy Gain on creating some electroclash tracks. By the end of 2014 he has released over 100 tracks, single, ep’s, compilation & remixes. Demia E.Clash has remixed Krenzlin, Radical G, Dj Hi-Shock, Popsimonova, Borgie and other respected producers, also his tracks have been remixed by 88uw,Ortin Cam, Electrorites, Krenzlin, Darkmode, Stefano Infusino and other great artists & producers.
Some things worth pointing out are his tracks have been supported by Dave Clarke 22 time in his White Noise Radio, he also charted 3 times on his official page and has been mentioned in Dj Mag’s magazine from Dave himself. His tracks have been played by Dave Clarke, A-Brothers, Rolf Mulder, Sebastian Bayne, 88UW, John B, Go!Diva itd…He has released tracks on labels such as Elektrax, Gynoid, Android,Darknet, Tekx, Adriatiko Recordings, Contrast, We Call It Hard itd..
