Demi Holborn is an exceptionally talented young lady with an extraordinarily powerful and distinctive voice. Her new single "If I Could" is a beautiful song Co-Written by Demi herself. With a musical background honed in her homeland of South Wales, the starting point for Demi’s musical career began when she entered a BBC competition in 2001 for the chance to sing at the Millennium Stadium. Her performance blew the judges away and she went on to win the competition getting the opportunity to perform alongside massive UK acts like Charlotte Church, S Club 7, Blue, Atomic Kitten, A1 and many more.
 
The good news just kept coming when unbeknown to Demi, her brother sent a video tape of her singing into GMTV’s Tot Stars competition in 2002. The competition was a massive success with 7,000 young hopefuls entering, and Demi went on to win the competition hands down, triumphing with 58% of the 200,000 public votes. The prize was a major recording contract and a scholarship at Barbara Speak Stage School.
 
Demi went on to release her debut double A-Side single ‘I’d Like To Teach The World To Sing’ / ‘My Boy’, which rocketed up the UK Top 40 charts. Along with the single came an unexpected achievement, she became the youngest entrant to have a Top 40 hit at just 10 years of age, stripping the title from Lena Zavaroni who had previously held it for 28 years. To this day Demi still retains this record.
 
Demi has gone on to perform in front of thousands of people all around the country alongside many of the UK’s top music artists. This included singing at Party in the Park where she got to perform alongside Daniel Bedingfield, Busted, Hear’Say, Blue, Liberty X, Darius and many others.
 
Her gorgeous looks and effervescent personality have made her a focus of the media for many years. Without doubt though, it is her breathtaking voice and ability to perform at the highest level that has always made her stand out as a star. The decision to blend luscious, rich and dynamic orchestral arrangements with modern contemporary rhythms and synths, creates a genre-breaking classical cross-over blend that has never been attempted before, making this an exciting and groundbreaking release.
 
Demi’s unique twist upon these modern classics may at first seem unusual. Yet this will all pale into insignificance once they hear her exquisite and explosive vocal interpretations. With her heavenly rendition of Abba’s pop classic ‘Eagle’, a divine reworking of the never released (in the UK) but massive crowd favourite ‘Home By The Sea’ by Genesis, along with the haunting sound of the brand new song ‘Angel’, she is set to change the face of modern music as we know it.
