Vulnerability is distinguished as a weak notion that is overcome by regaining confidence and self worth, until someone attempts to take advantage of you for their own beneficial outcome. The sad truth is that of which I blindly trusted an old friend who was compulsively lying and cheating. But at that point in time I was completely unaware. Funny thing about "lies". One can only lie to the extent of which they lose sight of their final outcome. Of course I don't completely blame him coming from a corrupted and troubled past, but even that is no excuse to cause turmoil and havoc amongst friendships. Unfortunately people who sustain themselves by seeing "friends" as 'life rafts' end up popular in the eyes and minds of many, however not in the way they appreciate. They become nothing more than a warning sign, an obstacle and a misguided hazard to the victims of an ulterior motive.
