Even though "NT" is no longer part of the marketing names, all current Windows versions still use NT system architecture. Internally, Windows 2000 calls itself "NT 5.0" as it is a direct descendant of Windows NT 4.0, while the Vista-Win10 series is "NT 6.x".   How does the Windows NT architecture differ from the Windows 9x architecture?  Windows 9x, which includes Windows 95, 98, and Millennium edition (ME), were primarily designed for home-users and had a more consumer-oriented focus.   On the other hand, the Windows NT architecture was designed for business and- professional-users, providing a more stable and secure platform.   Windows 2000: is based on NT kernel, while Windows 95/98/ME are all based on 9x kernel.  Especially Windows ME is very buggy and problematic but 95 and 98 also had a lot of problems.

Sunshine Temptation. The sunny temptation consists of a 100% natural orange juice, which is available at the release party. The track is an ode to the progressive house era of the 1990s, shining in a modern context.  

Snippets from commercials, rippling water and birdsong form the bed of the song, while a tight four on the floor beat with iconic 909 drums and a bouncy bassline set the pace. Breakbeats, bongos and recorded leads, straight from a 1984 Casio synth, take you back to the age when the internet made dial-up noises before you could visit colorful websites via Netscape.

Hailing from the province of Venice in Italy, Marco Rubin has been making music since his mid-teens, channelling inspiration from tastemakers such as Jamie Jones; it’s fitting that Rubin brings his three-track ‘Modular Dance’ EP to Jones’ Hottrax label this March.

First up is 'Modular Dance', a gritty and lo-fi sound with a paranoid lead synth snaking through an urban landscape, before 'Follow The Time' heads for more stripped-back territories that pack a punch with its kinetic kicks and dry basslines. A chopped-up vocal reverberates about the mix next to freaky sound designs that really make this one pop. Lastly, 'Jump On The Floor' rounds out a stellar debut with an irresistible hint of garage shuffle in the drums, while futuristic melodic phrases rain down to bring some cosmic colour.
