A trans-lunar injection is a maneuver designed to send a spacecraft to the Moon. Its first use in a manned mission enabled Apollo 8 to reach Earth's satellite in December 1968.

(A modest track dedicated to Jim Lovell, who passed away on August 7th, 2025, a crew member of four space missions including Apollo 8).
