In No Church in the Wild: Anarchy and Visual Culture, Jack Halberstam will talk about their new book on 'The Wild,' where Halberstam turns to anarchist thought to elaborate a queer politics and aesthetics for this particular moment of crisis and renewal. Occupy movements and other global expressions of radical dissent have signaled widespread discontent and new art responds to the challenge of thinking otherwise.

The talk will be followed by an in-conversation with Dr Stephen Wilson.

Jack Halberstam is Professor of American Studies and Ethnicity Gender Studies and Comparative Literature at USC. Halberstam works in the areas of popular, visual and queer culture with an emphasis on subcultures.
