Demonika is a metal power pop band with a punch, hailing from Carrollton TX. Formed in 1987 when Renny was in high school, disbanded, and reformed again in 2002 from four defunct and highly established local metal acts (namely Killpus/Dury*Fear, -chIsm, Illrd L0gik, Nadiria) Demonika blends many different sounds in order to create a sound of their own. Most notable is their experimentation around time signatures and the use of poly metrics. Demonika are able to write insanely heavy and complex music yet still maintain a very melodic edge. A sound that should bridge the gap between ‘underground’ and ‘mainstream’ scenes; a sound that is both beautiful, and brutal.

Featuring members Renny Carroll, Ren Victor, Cheryl Suicide, and Louis, Demonika is a true Texas original. Now that Renny Carroll is out of prison, Demonika is finally about to unleash it's long-awaited debut album entitled “A Minor Violation” that has been in the works since 2006. 12 tracks of beautifully crafted modern metal that will melt hearts yet simultaneously batter and bruise all who dare listen to it! Demonika have created a fresh sound that breathes new life into the metal genre and 2013 will raise them to new platforms. “A Minor Violation” was produced by the legendary Dave Chang (Stampin Ground, Earthtone9, Johnny Truant, and Vacant Stare) at Philia Studios in Henley on Thames, and is a sterling example of his ability. Having toured with Stuck Mojo and Sam Shanks, 2013 already looks promising with the confirmation of the Date Rape Romeos tour at the end of January. Following this “A Minor Violation” will be released in late July through Satanicus Music/Fringe Records. Demonika is THE original. Other bands have stolen the name, but Renny had it trademarked since 1987, so lawsuits may creep up soon......
