Rebolledo and I have some unforgettable moments playing together on the playa through the past 10 years and every time it was an unpredictable journey through totally different musical dimensions. 

This b2b set on the Robot Heart is no exception. We traveled in time exploring different corners of dance music and I love how musically raw and diverse the set was.

Playing sunrises at Burning Man is always beyond special and a true honor. Doing it again, this time back on The Robot in which I hadn’t performed in a while, on the side of a good friend like Dj Tennis, in a burn as unique as this year’s… made it one of a kind.

I was thinking about all the long waits in line for Burning Man tickets over the years and decided to give some of you something to listen to while the walking person icon slowly makes its way across the screen holding all our hopes in its little tiny pixel hands. 

The wait time  is usually about as long as it took to get from one side of the playa to the other last year after it rained and the playa shrimp rose up to attempt to take over the world!! 

Burning Mud. Mudding man. Raining man. Remember the wild stories (all from the outside media or Diplo and Chris Rock) vs the kindness and generosity of strangers out on the playa. I hope, even if faced with adversity last year, maybe, just maybe, you also saw how wonderful people can be when called upon in a ‘crisis’. 

I was lucky enough to stay until Tuesday night and grateful to still get to play a sunrise on the Robot Heart albeit a few days later than planned. There was so much love in the air that (finally) beautiful morning. If you missed it or want to listen once more or are just bored and looking for something to distract you while waiting in line for this years tickets (I’ll be waiting too) then here’s burning man/mud/magic 2023.  Feel the love in the air and the tickle of playa shrimp on the soles of your feet.

Here is my Boom Festival 2025 set. I love this festival from the bottom of my heart. The spirit of oneness and connection on the dancefloor is strong. Everybody is plugged into the source. As an artist and raver, I can be 100% myself. 

This set is quite introspective for such a big stage. I find that for Boom, a flowing, psychedelic approach works better than playing banger after banger. I learned this after witnessing Wata Igarashi deliver a super deep yet thoroughly satisfying set here two years ago. Story trumps climax.

Wie stark lassen sich Clubkultur, Musik und Design miteinander verbinden und wie lässt sich ein DJ-Set heute darstellen, ohne alleine den DJ in den Mittelpunkt zu stellen? Darüber spricht der weltberühmte DJ, Musik- und Modelabelbetreiber Dixon mit Podcast-Host Jakob Thoene in der letzten Telekom Electronic Beats Podcast Folge des Jahres. Als ersten Versuch einer neuen Darstellungsmöglichkeit führt der DJ sein neuestes Projekt Transmoderna an, eine 20-wöchige Residency im Pacha auf Ibiza, bei der Sound, Licht und Architektur miteinander verschmelzen. Der Dancefloor, die Party und der Moment sollen erlebt, anstatt für die Selbstdarstellung in den Sozialen Medien genutzt zu werden. Dixon erläutert seine Meinung zur Tragweite moderner Technologien und den gegenseitigen Einfluss von Mode und Clubkultur. 2018 entstand daraus das Modelabel Together We Dance Alone, dass er gemeinsam mit seiner Frau Diane leitet. Im Podcast Interview spricht Dixon außerdem über die Zukunft von Clubbing, die Ambivalenz der Clubszene auf Ibiza und welche Innovationen der weltberühmte DJ sich für die Clubkultur der Zukunft vorstellt.
