004 flows from an open heart, unearthing new and unfounded energies that have yet to be explored. This tale begins with 'อากาศ' as it reinstills the extans vibration through the poetic words of local Thai artist Tulwai. Already awakened to an array of sound, outsized melodies of emotionally driven segments are felt from 'Dakini' through to 'Shin (Subject to space)' and 'Circa Forever'. A final regression culminates in 'Silom'.

Here we go for one of the most versatile and quirky editions so far. The latest edition of our Mix Series comes by Behrang Mohammadi, a fellow promoter and label head from Berlin via Malmö, showcasing his broad musical palette and excellent skills. From Funk and Disco to Proto-House and acidic swirls.

As the 7th edition of our Sound of Another Name series, deepest digger and rare lover Carsten Jensen takes us on a trip down forbidden rhythms and mysterious vocals.  

'The idea behind this mix is the use of old drum machines in each track as a backbone. Within the last couple of years I’ve been digging a lot for records made during the 80s and one of the reasons for that is that I’m heavily into the sounds of the old drum machines. I just really love the sound of them: Most of the Roland ones including the 626, 707, 808 and the early Dr55 and Dr110. I also love the LinnDrum, Casio RZ-1 and Korg KPR-77. There is just something about how they sound that’s really pleasing to my ears no matter the instrument whether it’s rim shots, toms, claps, snares or hi hats. 
This mix goes through a handful of sub genres and there is more than 35 years between the release date of the newest and the oldest tracks. To me the tracks still blend nicely because of the aesthetics of the drum machines. 

I hope you like it too. I hope this is a bit of relief until our beloved clubs and dance floors are open again. Can’t wait to get out there, dancing and listening with you all again.'
