Denequia first new she wanted to sing when she heard Whitney Houston's song " I wanna dance with Somebody". Denequia first got her start in music when she sung " Yes,Jesus loves Me" in church on sundry when she was just 6 years old.  At a young age people were shocked to see tat she had a such a strong voice. Denequia gives praise to her Joyce Riley her late mother for introducing her to music.
