London artist, producer, DJ, label head and leader of a new generation of high-speed ravers, SHERELLE announces her eagerly-awaited debut EP, 160 Down The A406. Known for her work as a pioneering, high-octane DJ, the EP is the first time SHERELLE has officially released her own productions. 

The EP title track “160 Down The A406" is today available to stream and download. Fusing Sherelle’s love of high speed sounds with a weaving melody,  the song is a left turn from an artist known for high intensity sets, finding subtlety within speed, and the sound of one of modern dance music’s brightest mind’s subverting expectations.

SHERELLE kicked off 2021 with a New Balance campaign and a hotly anticipated set for Fabric with Hooversound artist Tim Reaper. Her residency on BBC Radio 1 has seen her champion cutting-edge dance music to a mainstream audience, whilst her Essential Mix was named the station’s best of the year in 2020; whilst Hooversound - the label she runs with longtime friend Apple Music Presenter Naina - has carved out a reputation for the freshest outputs of UK club culture through releases featuring Special Request, Tim Reaper, Hyroglifics, Sinistarr and Deft. 

The 160 Down The A406 announcement follows Sherelle’s news of the creation of BEAUTIFUL, a space for black and LGBTQI+ artists to give their music a home.

If 2020 was a break-out year for Sherelle, seeing her win countless awards and grow respect amongst her peers, 2021 is the year of her truly establishing herself as a new age icon in UK dance music and beyond.

The phone had been ringing off the hook all morning, each time he chose to ignore it. He'd debated unplugging it at the mains but the repercussions would be even worse than they already were. He knew that not answering wouldn't help him in the long run, but right now he couldn't face it. He would continue to live by the notion that what he didn't know couldn't hurt him.

Manchester party Off Beat make their first steps into the label world, launching a new platform to share their love of UK bass culture. For the inaugural outing, they've enlisted the talents of Breaka who's previous releases for Desert Sound Colony's Holding Hands, his own Breaka Recordings and Leeds' Stretchy Dance Supply have caused quite a stir since 2018. Titled The Startup, the two-tracker moves from UK bass grooves and warm subs on the A Side to jungle-inspired breaks on the flip; a perfect indicator of what we can expect from the newly-founded imprint in future.
