I want to make a song out of that hook...

"n e x t c h a p t e r." was originally supposed to be a single track. back in christmas in 2020, i came up with this idea of a song that i was so passionate about that i couldn't stop working on it. as i kept working on it, i realized that i could make it into two separate songs, which formed the idea of me making my very own solo ep. when making the two songs, somewhere along the line i ended up adding one final song to create a three-track ep. an ep that i'm incredibly happy and proud of.

the ep was originally meant to be called "mementos". i wanted the theme of the ep to be about self-reflection and looking back at the past. but as i kept listening to the songs and when i finally added lyrics to the second track of the ep, i realized that the theme of the ep was more about me starting a new chapter of my life as i have started university and moved far away from my home.

to capture this moment where i am in a new world surrounded by new people and new things, i made this ep.

and i really hope you enjoy listening to it as i really enjoyed making all of the songs.
