Listen to my debut release: an energetic acid techno track featuring pounding beats and intense acid riffs. I am not 100% sure about the track let that be clear, but I wanted to release something after al those periods of producing music. And let us say it isn't a track fitting the most techno lovers in these industrie. But it's a vibe a something else wich no one ever listened to!

Le 9 juillet 2017, Manu le Malin proposait un set exclusif dont les morceaux ont été puisés dans les collections musicales du Musée des arts Premiers. Chants Navajo, rituels Tibétains, cérémonies vaudou ou exorcismes en Afrique se mêlent aux sonorités électroniques dans une hybridation méditative entêtante.

Manu le Malin a proposé à Line Out Radio de diffuser ce set expérimental lors de sa récente venue au studio et nous sommes ravis de proposer cette facette rare de son approche artistique. La qualité du record initial est pas optimale mais c'est l'esprit du set qui compte.

This starts off low so don't turn it up!
On my way to Wellington I stopped in overnight at Pureora and recorded the sounds of the forest from the 12m high tower. I'm not very good with heights so found it a bit of a mission to climb.. Once again, the calmness of the forest made recording  a challenge as the loudest Kaka calls were only around 35dBSPL and that is very quiet!

Aroha Island Crickets

Many native birds thrive on the island including kiwi, tui, korimako (bellbird), both red and yellow crowned kakariki (parakeets), pateke (brown teal), kereru (wood pigeon), miromiro (tomtit), titipounamu (rifleman), riroriro (grey warbler), korora (blue penguin), popokatea (whitehead) and karuhiruhi (pied shag). 

With over 40 species of birds permanently or seasonally present, two bat species and 14 species of reptiles, the island supports the most diverse assemblage of native fauna of any island in the country. Because of this, and the fact the island is free of most introduced predators, it is considered to be one of the most important reserves of its kind in the world.

Puketi Forest is an ancient kauri (Agathis australis) forest located in Northland near Kerikeri. With the Omahuta Forest it forms one of the largest contiguous tracts of native forest in Northland.
It has 15,000 hectares (37,000 acres) of kauri, podocarp and hardwood trees and a rich diversity including hundreds of recorded species of plants, some of which are found nowhere else in the world.  The short Manginangina Kauri Walk follows a boardwalk that winds through a mature stand of kauri and swamp forest. It’s a track that is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
