Rabe is the namesake label from the Berlin-based artist Denise Rabe who on her latest outing collaborates with Artem Kalinin also known as Lidvall from Tbilisi, Georgia.

The pair have joined forces for the first time on the Aquarius EP with four new original works and individually, they have released on a list on other labels like Lucy’s Stroboscopic Artefacts, Emmanuel’s ARTS, Lewis Fautzi’s Faut Section, and Edit Select Records.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the track called “Second Face” that has a fierce vibe. The pounding, broken beat percussion is cut with cyclical and intense pulse patterns, while the fluttering high notes are a constant tension delivering an abstract twist overall.

„The Fox And The Raven“ is the maiden release for Denise Rabe´s self titled label, conceived to be the channel thru which her personal, unfiltered, haunting sound will find it´s body and voice.

Exemplifying this with the 3 cuts on “The Fox And The Raven”: driven, hypnotic, techno with a chasing sense of urgency, balanced with eerie lamenting melodies, perfectly fitting the tales of lore chosen to illustrate each release like a volume in an odyssey.

Concluding this chapter, a limited pressing of 300 reproductions serigraphed, embossed and scented, echoing how like fables, music, occupies a tangible moment in the listeners life and space.

For her third installment, Rabe delivers 2 original tracks with her indistinguishable haunting sound, driven by martial rhythmic structures in opposition to the fluid, evolving soundscapes that balance her music.

Equally thought out was the inclusion of remixes by Nur Jaber and Orphx whose rework of ‘Lucy’s Dream’ seamlessly incorporate that eerie undertone, a constant in Rabe’s work, that seems to lure the listener thru the haze that separates reality and the dream states.
